I have never been anywhere near the out of control street fires. And no I didnt get out of here in 4 years, but I will be done by this summer(that would be 4.5 years). I am also not majoring in some mindless thing like Comm or Phys Ed. Engineering School takes a little more time. No one has died in a street fire since mid 2000.
People like you are the reason I no longer like morgantown and never go there…that is just idiotic to light shit on fire for no reason what so ever…clean up in a different is possible without cleaning ish…and if you think the place is such a shit hole why are you there???
:dunno:
Hmmm… 4 years for a BSME (Mechanical Engineering) with Honors (about 40 hours of extra classes) didn’t seem all that hard to me… And I even worked while going to school.
And I’m also going to guess you have never looked in depth at the house on grant street. Most of those houses are gems waiting to be restored. Grant Ave. used to be home to the welathy people in Morgantown. And then we have people like you encouraging other people to destroy it. They should of all been locked in Don Knotts’ boyhood home when someone torched it…
I’m done. I’m getting pissed at the stupidity being expressed by you.
:lockd:
I call BS. No engineering student that goes here says it is easy. And if you graduated with honors there is no way you would be working in Bridgeport. I dont know when you went here but there is no such thing as easy in this department. Maybe it was easy in like 1970, but it takes 5 years on average to get through this ME program.
Yeah, Grant needs to be destroyed and rebuilt. You havent been here in a long time obviously. Most of the homes in Grant are so messed up it would cost more to restore than to rebuild. I was hired with a civil eingineering to try to fix a foundation and the shit we found there was pretty bad. Lets just say the foundation is a small part of the problem.
I am done with this. I still stand by my belief that no one that street races can lecture me. If you people cared about safety that much you would take it to the tracks.
it doesn’t even matter if you start it or encourage it, etc…
if you don’t see that there is a problem with it…then thats the problem.
thats the same as saying…oh, i don’t rob stores/banks, but i don’t mind watchng people do it.
or i don’t rape women, but i don’t mind watching other people do it.
you saying its OK cause your just watching is just as bad.
Stunt riding, street racing, blah blah blah… If you care about everyones safety, maybe you should think about attacking these people too. I dont bitch at them because I know I do usafe shit too. That is all.
not everyone on here stut rides or street races…but you did say you light shit on fire for no reason.
Let’s see…
Graduated 2001 at age 22. G.P.A. was like 3.85 or something like that.
Worked for a company north of Pittsburgh for a while.
I am now a plant engineer with Allegheny Energy. You know our distribution company Allegheny Power…
I probably turn down more job offers a year, then you will get in your career.
And I don’t know of a company that hires competitively that will hire an engineer who took 5 years to complete their degree without a damn good excuse. Now then if you are in ME, time to call a couple friends who are now employeed by the engineering school and find out who you are.
P.S. WVU’s engineering program sucks when you look at the leading ones in the nation. There is a reason I’m going back to a different school in a couple years for post-graduate work.
Still call BS. I have a job lined up for the end of Aug too. If you knew people in the engineering program than you would know how difficult it is. And if you know people who work for the MAE department, then they are probably my friends. I get along with about 75% of the Profs and almost all of the Grad students. If you are so brilliant then why didnt you take the MAE dual major??? Surely someone of your intelligence could have stuck it out for a half a year more and had 2 degrees.
[QUOTE=1320]Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with WVU kids? [QUOTE]
i have issues… :eek4dance
i missed the whole thing, i came up here last nite for the long weekend.
dude its cool to burn shit  its fun…nothing wrong with it
Because some of us have passions in life and Aerospace has nothing to do with mine. And I could of still gotten out in 4 years with the dual program. It won’t be hard for me to find out who you are. Probably having dinner and drinks with a few of your professors and graduate students tonight…
Call B.S. all you want. It doesn’t bother me. And congrats on having a job lined up. I’ll still place money I’m in a much better position.
this thread needs to burn down
