K so i painted my brake calipers. Well, i’ve only done one so far. What do you guys think? I pretty much wanted them to look like the brakes on the 350z track edition.

As a matter a fact… i have 56k… and you have no idea how hard it was for me to post those pictures. hahaha. NOT. you never know.
I don’t like the red part but other than that it’s good.
yea, im not feeling the red either, if they were all red it would real good. but the important part is you like it and it looks better than the bare metal.

I like the middle haha, just regular clean aluminum calipers. Either that or black. Then again, I did the exact same gold on my stock calipers and it looked decent. I dunno, just ditch the red lettering, if you really want the lettering to be in a different colour, do it in black. Black on gold will look sick.
jlee: just get some fine grid sand paper and clean off the red paint on the letters… Make then a clean silver without paint… then it will look prime…

lol… YES!! “looks like brembo caliper” haha… that’s exactly what i was going for. I was thinking black and gold would look cool… but we’ll see… i’ll post pics once they’re on the car.

were all staring close up at a decent caliper…When their on the car with wheels they will look like a million bucks…i bet 1/10 people would have sucha interest in getting up that close to check out a painted caliper behind a wheel…It looks great…but what colours the car? cars silver/grey/black id have a black caliper with silver lettering etc etc that gold colour will go well with quite a few body colours.
The car’s black with 350z track edition rims… i guess if it doesn’t look good, i can always sand it all off and do it in another colour.

as for what enzo said, I agreed untill you said you had 350 wheels, the brakes might be a little small, the GTR ones would fit in there nicely, plus the aluminum ones have a better feel to them (clean and simple casting). But yeah, the brakes will look much better behind a wheel.
Here are mine, I had them powder coated and then scraped the letters with a file to get a nice ‘brushed’ look, and am going to apply a thin layer of high heat clear to the letters.
