Well I feel like a f ing idiot…:slap:
I know need some Pittspeed help… anyone know where a good cheap place to get a new back bumper and it fixed put on and painted at? On a 99 Civic dx?
I kinda cracked mine in half at the driver corner and put a dent in the piece below my tail light… I feel like a stupid woman driver
But it totally wasnt my fault
I figured since there’s so many people on here that can help I’d take some advice on where to go … I need it done fast since this is my only driving car and need it done good and cheap … cause I hate using money on stupid stuff like this.
But anyway I know people will ask what i did… I was leaving for work at 9 40 pm already late after a bicker with the bf… (all my fault) and there was some idiot crapalier parked behind me 2 feet, in my drive way, not even in a parking spot, and i backed into him. I guess i hit hard enough to crack my bumper but do nothing to that pos car. It was pitch black out with no light and well i didnt see it. I was really upset but i guess it could have been worse…:bash:
But let me know what you got or any advice to help … thanks
Well you could ask Mark at Roberts. It sounds like he has done a lot of work for people on PS. Also, I got in a little fender bender a few weeks ago and I am taking my car to Maceils in Bethel Park. The guy I dealt with seems really nice and they are giving me a pretty good price to fix my bumper, fender, and to touch up some other nicks and scratches that I have.
If its just the bumper cover you could probably just get away with epoxying back together. If not ,replacing a bumper cover is easy I say just do it at home.
thanks for all your help so far guys
i took some pictures after getting the guts to actually go look at it in the light and heres the three
its not that that bad but still …
yeah def just repalce it. those bumper covers are not too much money if i recall. but haven’t done bodywork in so long so not sure what it would cost though. my guess is the paint will cost more than the bumper itself though.
I’m no professional, but to get that to look right again, I think you would need to get a new bumper cover. Using an epoxy to fix the crack isn’t going to look good. But I agree with Oldsrocketman, just put some red duct tape on it for now and get it fixed in the spring.
Im with the g body king too…Its a honda daily driver you could epoxy it good enough to get ya through. Spring comes get the cover…fix any rot and paint it
