have you ever owned a honda or a toyota?
every car you have ever owned, aside from your fox body has been a steaming pile of dog shit in my honest opinion.

no and i prob never will.
[quote=“Joe,post:63,topic:40072"”]
yeah cause there are no decent cars that arent toyota or honda. american cars are complete crap and break every 10 minutes or 6.3 miles

If you’re buying used, american is a lot better value. a newer used import is almost as much as a new one. I’d rather have more money in my pocket now than more money when i go to sell it, personally.

^ i agree
apparently you hate good gas mileage, reliability, and overall better build quality.
welp, i just flipped a coin. you should get the jeep.
wow, you are confused mate
First off take those tires off the Explorer and have a tire shop throw on some used spent shit tires.
Second tell them that your paying $9000 (Minus your $2K you refinance $7K and still get ripped off) for this…

I’d vote, but they are both shit options. Unless you go offroading much, in which case the jeep.
Plenty of reliable vehicles out there, import and domestic besides these that are on their lot.
for gods sake did anyone read what i said about 3 pages ago???
I DONT WANT A FUCKING CAR!!! i want an SUV or a truck because its easier for me to get in and out of and i like room. ive never owned anything thats gotten good gas mileage so i dont really care if it only gets 15 mpg…im used to it, and it doesnt bother me. if whatever i end up getting gets good gas mileage, then great, nice bonus. if not, o well. as i have said numerous times before, i would rather pay more for gas and drive something that i like and feel comfortable in. sure i could cram my fat ass into a Cavalier or something, id be miserable as all hell everytime i drive it, but damn id be getting 30 mpg!!! IMO that wouldnt be worth it.
i also said IM NOT ASKING ANYONE TO MAKE UP MY MIND FOR ME!! i honestly should have just said “heres 2 vehicles. what are the pros and cons of each? I dont know much about Jeep Wranglers so any info/experiences would be appreciated.”
and whoever posted that 2000 Cherokee they have, i did see that, and i do like it, but im not dead set on buying something Jeep branded…if I got a Wrangler it would be for what it is.
EDIT: im also not buying an import. besides the fact that I would rather buy an american car, i just flat out do not like the stying of 99% of imports.

used american cars, with the crappy resale values, may seem like a better deal than an import when you buy the car. but you end up spending that difference on upkeep and maintenance.
I owned nothing but american cars for a good 10 years because of the “better value” when used. but i got sick of bumming rides when a water pump, starter, alternator, gaskets, trannies ect… took a shit. now i own nothing but toyotas and the maintenance nightmare has gone by the way side with the domestic cars. i just hop in and drive…and i always make it to my destination without an issue. nomore turning down the radio to investigate a noise or keeping my eyes peeled on the instrument cluster for something to go horribly wrong.
i know my experiences may differ from some of you domestic and import owners. but from my 15 years of driving vehicles of all sorts of makes and models, i am completely convinced that the japanese are doing something better than the americans when it comes to cars.
god bless you d3x
mikeri24 you sound liek a fucking baby
I DONT WANT A FUCKING CARRRR WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
get a VW punchbug. diesel. yup.
Honestly wtf is wrong with you?
You have had nothing but terrible experiences with American made cars from multiple manufacturers. And all you can do is say that you don’t want an import which are quite better in quality and service as well as holding their value.
You need a lesson in investments. You don’t keep putting $ into something that has let you down time and time again.
It’s really noone elses problem but your own so stop asking for opinions if you dont want one that makes the most sense.
Out of the 2 you listed I’d say get the Blazer but you won’t be happy with it and we’ll all be hearing from you when the wheel bearings, ball joints, transmission, brakes, 4 wheel drive, and air pump have issues. Seriously… they’re not good trucks. I owned a GMC Jimmy and I’d never get a Blazer/Jimmy again thats for sure.
my question stands as is, how much more abuse, calling him a moron, although true, will he take before he stops coming here…

Im hoping the answer is revealed soon.
Thats it I’m startin a pool $5.00 a person- How long before Mike is bitching(or what do i do poll) about his next car. Since the stink here it’s gotta be 45 days i would think.
You all know it doesnt matter what he gets its a matter of time
Whats the over/under on him keeping the Explorer at the end of the day?
See if they have one of those on the lot. I think you’ll find the experience driving it pretty similar to buying used domestic beat to hell vehicles.

I guess it’s all about picking the right ones. My f-bod had no issues whatsoever til about 10 years and 100k, then i had to replace a fuel pump, thermostat, and a line, and outer tierods, over the course of the next 2 years. Total investment, probably $500. My GTO had absolutely no problems in 2 years except for 2 TSB’s on a door lock and wipers. My SS has had nothing, but ive only had it for 3 months.
I love how mad he gets when people try and introduce logic to his decision making process.
There is so much that I could argue about what he’s posted, but they all require the constraint of logic, which he does not accept.
