No reason not to daily a TT 
I can understand not wanting to daily the turbo.
That said, I love M3’s but I’m not sure I would honestly want to DD one. I’ve only ever heard great things about S2K’s so that’s where my vote lies. Although personally I’d just keep the A4

IS300? Mine averaged ~21 mixed driving when I had it. Not as fun as an M3 and some of the others listed but they’re damn reliable.
