Only at $31k right now:
that rules…
i had always talked about that swap, then the movie ruined it for me.
sweet car for sure. I would drive it
I would love to own that just to take it to classic car shows and piss people off.
this could be done for alot less then $31k.
lemme guess, because: You don’t care what people think?
Dont even get me started on the subject.
Nice car though
really depends on how clean the mustang is…
if it’s a rot box underneath, then maybe.
even so, motorset is 4K, that intake mani is another 800, car has SD tuning, that’s a grand, wilwood big brakes on 4 corners, turbo, wheels, shit adds up.
I’ll probably have mid 20s in the bimmer when it’s ever done.
Wilwood four wheel disc brakes with 4 pistons up front, Volk GT-7 19 x 9 wheels up front and 19 x 10 in rear, Toyo Praxes T1R tires, KYB shocks, Flaming River rack & pinion steering, Sperco Intercooler, G Ready manifolds, N1 Magflow Exhaust, Fuel safe fuel cell with stainless lines, Global West upper & lower control arms, Wenco drive shaft, 9" Currie rear end, New Year One interior including new replacement seats, Hurst shifter, and front power windows.
Also mentioned the motor was rebuilt before installation.
definitely a decent amount of aftermarket in there.
actually, I would REALLY have a blast in that car.
I dont care, i think it friggen sweet
I’d be curious to see how it drives. Even though it’s not quite my taste I bet it’s still a fun car.
there was a similar roller FS on moms a few months ago for $800.
The difference between the bimmer and this is mainly that there are 4392 companies that make “resto” parts for the mustang. You can basically buy a rolling shell (in parts or WHOLE) from companies.
Wilwood brakes <$1k (Ford Mustang Forums)
Turbo <$1k depending on what you want obv
Wheels <$1k corral / ebay
SD tuning <$1k
Driveset & mani $4.8k
$7.8k
OBV you can spend a whole lot more then that. but, why? it’s not a show car. its not a “numbers matching” car. you’re not going to do anything other then drive it and “piss people off” with it.
Just saying.
not counting the rebuild, wheels, tires you’re talking < $10k in parts.
Piss of the import guys and Piss off the classic musscle guys right lol?
i cannot see buying a roller in that shape for 800 bucks.
edit: BIN 4000 on ebay
what shape?
I don’t see any pics of the roller.
the car that was FS needed floorpans and body panels. if it’s slow enough later I will post exact part numbers and prices for a full body later.
Sorry.
For sho.
I agree. It all depends on what you want the end product to be like. Up until I bought my 633csi way back when, I had nothing but F bods. The camaros i had were cheap as hell to play with, but once I hit bimmer land the game all changed. All of the sudden I was paying 650 for a fender and 200 bucks for cheap struts.
Back in 01 I saw a 71 mustang fastback with a 4spd on transit near lockport. Looked all original it had some collision damage on the front and rear fenders, nothing more. One of the front fenders was off so you could see most of the front subframe on the drivers side. It was spotless save for some minor surface rust. the floor pans were just as good. To make a long story short the thing was solid as fuck. It was up for sale for 1800 bucks. By the time I went home to get some cash and get back there it was sold. ITs all a matter of luck and where you look.
yeah, but fixing the chassis is going to take tons of time/money…
idk. i still say it would cost anyone almost 20G to build that car.
IDK man. It really all depends on the ability of a person and level of access to specialty tooling.
I think you meant to say improve. not ruin
