I’m having little problems fixing my 240sx and need some help to get it started. I’m sure there is someone here who can help me fix it. Whoever is good at fixing 240’s has a chance to get a free 93 civic. For real. OK, here’s the scoop. I use the civic as a daily driver everything works, it drives great and barely wasted any gas. The bad part, i just busted the exhaust after fixing it 3 or 4 times. I’m bored of driving the civic and I have a 240 i’ve been working on and cant get running. So who ever can help me get my 240 running I will give them the civic.
Now for the job description.
It’s a 1990 240sx had a blown motor i put a new motor in from a 96 got the tranny, starter, wiring, all the fluids in but it wouldn’t start. The things missing are; exhaust only goes to down pipe and the exhaust manifold is missing the pipe going to the intake manifold, also no power steering. The things i changed when i did the swap was intake manifold, harness, ecu, distributor, intake box from a 92 240sx. The problem i am having is that the spark plugs are not getting any power. The car cranks and it has gas but no spark.
If anyone can fix the exhaust, power steering and get the car started i will give them the 93 civic that i use as a daily driver. Free car!
Here is some more info on the civic. It’s 5 speed 4 door white. It has 450 k on it with a new engine. The car drives fine it only had like 2 owners before me. It’s a cheap car that gets me from point a to b. I really hate front wheel drive it’s so boring and slow. I would trade the civic for a 240 anyday
It is probably the crankshaft position sensor. To use the S13 dizzy setup with the CPS built in you need to use an S13 ECU. To use the S14 ECU you need to have the S14 CPS which is located on top of the transmission bell housing.
