Learned on my buddy’s '99 Civic Si and my first manual car I owned was my K20 swapped EG 4dr. Have had various manual Civics, a Chevy Cavalier, mid-90’s F-150, and now my '94 ITR swapped coupe.
I learned on my '93 S10. I didnt want a standard at all but I liked the truck so I bought it and then had to learn how to drive it.
My mom was the one that taught me how to drive it because my dad didnt have enough patience.
I love driving standards but unfortunately they dont make many fullsize trucks with them anymore so I had to get an automatic.
i learned on a 1980’s mazda b2000 field truck, and my first car was a 1993 plymouth laser, then my 2003 neon was a stick, then my 1997 eclipse gsx and my eg 4 door with an LS swap
Learned on a 1990 s-10. Still own the truck and have had it since I was 12. My favorite stick I drive right now is the work truck. 10 speed cummins.
Learned on a B16 swapped EF hatch. Unfortunately, it also had a Clutchmasters Stage 5, unsprung, 4-puck clutch in it. Oh, and an 8lb flywheel. All I could think was “FML.” This is the reason I tend to bounce revs when starting off… Just an old habit.
First standard car I had was my first car, 92 Eagle Talon TSi AWD.
Of the eight cars I’ve owned so far, only one was auto, and it was a hand-me-down from my mom.
98 jetta vr6 i was 16 and loved it
I’ve never owned nor driven a manual vehicle. Dont know why…just never have
car i learned on…97 escort wagon…fun little car…still have it…almost 204k! original clutch too! haha
my first stick was my 2nd car…91 geo storm gsi…dont see myself DDing anything auto in the near future…haha
thanks pjb
auto>manual f0 sh0
To me a manual is alot more fun but sometimes its just nice to turn the key and shift it into drive and not have to worry about shifting it.
I had my Mustang converted from an auto to a 5 speed because I hated the auto in it.
The car I learned on was a 1986 toyota mr2.
that was a day prior to the owner totaling the car.
:rofl
1989 Ford Probe Turbo
hahah now that i think about it, the white MR2 was the first manual car i drove, i think i was still 15 :rofl :rofl i lied to rami and told him that i had driven a stick before so he’d let me drive it
Haha how did that turn out?
fine haha it was just around the neighborhood
learned to drive standard on my first car 92 lx 5.0…
93 h22 swapped civic
ricer status
I myself prefer auto over manual. I travel a LOT, so it’s nice to just sit back. It’s even nicer when you hit traffic. I HATE manuals in traffic. My dads truck is by far the worst.
