Otherwise I also do body work and refinishing through to show shine as well as wet sanding to 2000 grit and polish.
I can polish rims…it sucks…do it yourself… or after I get the 600 grit finish on there.
18" 5 stars take about 2-3 hrs each.

i need help spray painting a rear spoiler to match the body color. when i spray paint it doesnt apply evenly. what do i need to do to prep and how do i paint it. spoiler is made of fiberglass. also how do i get the clear coat to apply smoothly. sometimes the surface is rough due to the clear coat.
we would make a good team, you do all the stuff i dont like to do, lol! I can do autobody welding and rust repair. how do u paint? base clear with HVLP guns or spray can? do u have a shop and a booth or out of ur garage?
There’s an attachment that you can buy at Walmart. You put it onto the top of the spray can and you use it just like a suction feed spray gun. For me it helped me with consistency of application. That and my finger didn’t get tired so quickly.
I painted my whole Datsun with a set of spray cans. Primer –> Base –> Clear
The attachment made it extremely easy for me. It came out pretty streakless. My friend also put a spoiler on the bed cover of his S10. The spoiler was from a Dark Blue Supra and he wanted it black. I sprayed two spray cans with the attachment and it turned out pretty good.
it should be sanded with 600 first, then cleaned really well, then painted. you prolly suck at painting, no offence, so do I, that shit’s hard. just be patient, stick to a pattern, apply only a little at a time. wait until it’s tacky until you apply the next coat. if it still looks crap when its done, with the clear and everything on, just wet sand with some 600 or 1000 depending how bad it is, then polish, just make sure you dont break through the clear.
use the motomaster plastics (read flexible) primer…it goes on clear.
don’t let it fully harden
watch it tack dry (you can actually see it dry by eye)
then dust coat (all overspray)with colour, then give a light coat.
allways move to match the contour of the piece.
spray in spurts…not like an 80’s hairspray or raid commercial.
wait at least 1.5 smokes (20 minutes) after all of that.
then clear…it’ll never look right until after buffing.
same technique as the colour coat, dust, thin, regular = 2 coats.
if you want to have more so you can wet sand just wait till its sticky - glue-y in an invisible spot…then do a regular coat.
1 swipe of the spray can over a 4 ft line should take about 4 seconds.
too much paint will give whitish pearly spots (fish eye).
wait for it to dry completely then do the whole thing over but be cheaper with the paint.
if all it needs is paint I can help.

Also If you’r car is pearl white…which I think it is …(pic).you will almost definately not be happy with almost ANY BODY SHOP!
Painters hate pearl white… pearl, metallic, interlayer mix, fade…woof its like calculating for lunar pull.
I def reccomend if you are pearl white… go with a diff colour for the front and blend, stripe, weave, etc your way into the back.

wait 1 week (no car wash for you)
wet sand with 800 then 1000 then 1500 (after this its pure show Q)
POLISH WITH FARECLA G3 & SPIT…no really…spit!:R
thats why you need the booze after yer dehidrated…yaaa thats it…yaaa:R
