thanks :smiley: in all honesty i don’t know very much about V8’s at all and what little i know is based on my research from an LS1 Miata that I dreamed of doing for a while and would still love to do. I know that the LS1 is the motor of choice for miata fagz and weight is a big part of that. Plus they’re a kit that includes just about everything you need except for the LS1, the T56 and whatever ECU you want to run for cheap, so that probably has something to do with that :lol

I think the LS1 is a clear choice for a race team over whatever the 03-04 cobra motor is called, I don’t know a single thing about any other Ford motor though :lol

The terminator motor is pretty heavy, as its an iron block, has 4 cams, and a blower hanging off it. I could just never get rid of that motor, its so responsive to mods that its not even funny. And being a Ford fanboi I would throw something like my motor, or a Dart 363 Al block with AFR 205’s in it and be just as fast if not faster, and possibly lighter. The Dart setup is cash though, so non-ballers need not apply.

I DID change the tune with my bigger injectors. I scaled them correctly. My tuner sent me the injector scale tables

I havent been back to get the tune tweaked with a wideband since I scaled/added my larger injectors…with my stock injectors they were maxed at 5800rpms and going irratic after that…so when it was tuned on the stock injectors that was dialed in perfect below 5800rpms but way too lein over 5800rpms and me putting larger injectors and scaling them still doesnt tweak the AFR on top end that needs to be done with a wideband. He told me when I got the new injectors in I had to come back and he had to throw a wideband on it…hes just 2 hours away and I havent had time to go out there.

Notice how all of the LSx fox’s fell to the Sbf’s:evilking Happens in damn near every Pinks event, there are some big CI LSx fox’s, that goes up against a real ford product and it gets beat.

I think as an owner of both worlds that when chevy put out the LS-based shit they did it right, theyre bad ass , reliable, respond great to mods and they can be found fairly cheap, i can say an LS based fox is a cool swap, its fucking stupid. I think each Ford and Chevy have made a few cars that are one hell of a platform. For instance the foxes, theyre fairly light weight have a nice wheel base good size engine compartment plenty of room for tire, 8.8" ford rears bolt directly in place (even though almost all the big names make a bolt in 9" for every vehicle on the planet), and a very simple interior that can be made into both the perfect race car or cruiser. With the price of any “swap” weighed out, i beleive theyre all about the same respectively. Anytime you put something in a car that wasn’t supposed to be in it, its pricey and difficult, i dont care what anyone says. I’ve done it. So why the hell do you put a chevy product in a ford car or vice versa? Just like if i was to own a Malibu, which i think is one of chevys many perfect platform cars, you bet your ass there would be a big cube LS based motor or a huge cube BBC in it. Thats just what you do, not this LS fox, or Terminator Camaro bullshit. If i was to do a different swap in my ride than what i did, hands down i would put a termi motor in it or find a navigator motor and slap a carb intake on it. Anyone else see the fox on pass time (i think) with the navigator motor. Over 100kmi on the motor with a small shot of spray the damn thing was running mid 10’s iirc.
