Z06 Tune

I’m planning on in the next couple weeks getting my Z06 tuned, It has K&N Air filter and Borla Cat back so far, I plan on just driving it this summer (only has 2,100 miles on it now) and then modding a lot next summer so with a air filter, cat back, Thermostat and Tune what kind of gain should I expect?

i gotta ask ,are you the moron that bought that zo6 from prestige ?

It doesnt seem like you have a need for a tune yet. Id wait until you have done some mods to the car or youre wasting your money.

Even the stuff youre planning doesnt require a tune. A tune is usually done when there has been significant motor work done, not simple bolt ons like an exhaust and K&N intake.

LOLLLLL

seems like it.

Low mileage Z06, lives in Cp…I say so!

:rofl its yellow as well.

also, with your mods a tune would be nothing but a waste of money. Get a tune when you get long tubes on there and some heads or a cam…until then, save your $400+

Save your money man, it aint worth the expense for the minute hp you will gain.

You guys need to ease up a bit on new members asking legitimate questions.

+1

yea marro & smokin, way to jump on a fellow chevy owners back!!! it’s like black on black crime in here.

Z06 dude - You might gain a little bit out of it, but i’d get some more aggressive mods before i got a tune. Or buy a Ford, the Ford guys on here are much nicer :rofl ignore PJB, he doesn’t even have a car.

:rofl at you idiots, yes slowmarro he’s the kid who got his car at prestige. Although i think he got raped on the car. Ive met him, hes a cool kid. And he got a 2004 z06, iirc, with 2100 miles. Thats pretty sweet. But yellow=not for me.

I agree though, a tune, total waste of your time and money, right now. Go make a few pulls on the dyno somewhere if you wanna see where you’re at. You may/may not know this but you can make dyno pulls at places without getting a tune, i think thats a common misconception. Also i have a question for you. You say in your OP your modding next summer with: air filter, catback, t-stat. Does that mean your changing the current borla cat back and CAI, if so why? The borla system is a good exhaust. IMO i wouldnt change it unless your going with a B+B or a Corsa.

If you want to spend money on the car, the best two mods you can do would be a longtube header/catless x pipe and a cam package. They will net you stupid gains in conjuction with a new tune.

And DO NOT buy a ford. :lol

wow ,that kid got raped . how did the bodywork turn out on that car ? it was pretty hammered

Yeah way to jump the gun on the comments guy’s thanks, Just a question!! referring back to Pauly’s comment i mean i was just going to drive the car as is for now with intake and exhaust, but if i were to get it tuned they would switch the thermostat and tune it,so would it be worth it, and how much hp would i gain, that’s all i was really asking… Next summer i plan on long tubes hi flow cats, cam and etc

And no i don’t want a ford!:sHa_hehe:

redline is more than capable . buttttt there is another guy on rt 30 in amsterdam ,the shop is jennings northeast speed his number is 842-fast . he is very smart and cheaper than redline

I don’t understand how you can go from calling me a moron (not ever talking to me before) to now giving me advice… I guess that is how this works:rofl

And yes I’m enjoying the car I bought from Prestige

its all jokes man lololol , joe is a rapist that car if and i mean if its the one i think it is was hit pretty well he had it fixed and sold it for like 20k or suttin ,granted it was low miles but its dtainted

I bought the car about a month and a half ago it is a 2002 z06 only had 1500 miles on it when i got it and it was from mass… I checked car fax and it has a clean and accident free title… It was not that price either so i don’t think we are thinking of the same one

ok then lololol ,then my hecklin is all done . when ya doin work then

Hopefully very soon, Like i said before it just has intake and exhaust which is not anything to brag about, I have been talking to Howard and others about starting the modding process and what would be best to do first.

get the bolt ons covered then go elsewhere
