im thinking about picking up the r-title ws6 from JJs, what do you guys think. me and weaves might go up saturday morning and take a look at it. I could save alot of money on this car. one thing do you guys think i could get it swapped with a 6 sp and how much it would cost me?
It can definitely be done… cuz for some reason i’ve looked into it for my T/A (even tho i dont have the money) and all the LT1’s and LS1’s have the same trannys (as far as i know)… I’ve seen where the entire kit, including tranny, master cylinder, pedals, etc. is like 2500… but you’d need it installed, stuff cut for the pedals, and i dont know what someone woudl give you for your auto tranny… its not cheap by any means, but i’d say if you wanna do that, look into how much an aftermarket high performance tranny costs…
just some things to think about
trans are not the same,1500 t0 2500 to swap to a 6spd,all the wiring in the car needs change which i have,if u really want it done right!thats all parts wiring etc! :booty:
well aside from the auto tranny, is there anything else wrong with this car as of right now?

hmm… i thought they were… i thought all 4th gen f-bodies used either the t-56 (manual) or 4L60E (auto)… didnt think it changed when they changed to the LS1. … o well… learn something new each day
well can yins fix it for me if im gonna buy it, what kind of damage was done to it before it was fixed
well as far as buying from JJs, i wouldnt think twice about buying off of them. Brian helps everyone on here out and wont rip anyone off. however, i dont know if i’d buy an auto just to swap a 6spd in it. if i were u i would just wait til a 6spd u want turns up. i wouldnt be surprised if JJs got one soon enough. thats just my opinion. when i sell a car for another, i like to take my time and look at all aspects and weigh the pros and cons. sometimes it takes awhile, but in the end, it usually turns out better. so, just think about it before u go and do something youll regret

the car is still titled as a Z28, and has Z28 badging, just has a B4C Police Optioned package

now, I am wrong about the Z28, that ran 12.88 though, that was just a standard cloth seet, stripper Z28. not a B4C…
But I am right about B4C’s being titled as Z28s
