He is my best friend and thinks these car forums are a joke. He is a troll but is cool in real life.
Just making sure.
I have finally found a place that sells a copper gasket for our cars. It is from SCE gaskets. You can get it without the need for o-ringing your block or heads. It has the ring inside the gasket. Or for a little less you can buy them and have your block o-ringed. I bought mine today for $189.95+shipping. I know alot of you guys running lots of boost have been looking for a metal gasket for a while and since the nismo and hks ones have been discontinued it has been a little hard to come accross them. You can get them in pretty well any size you want for bore aswell as thickness. This could help you n/a-turbo guys if you want to increase boost without rebuilding the bottom end. Well they’re number is (661)949-0083. Just in case heres the address aswell:
SCE Gaskets Inc.

woah jason you got some serious ass kissers on your thread!
Nice set up. Can I ask what your oversized ferrea valves cost and what the incremental cost addition was to your head work (assuming a machine shop did it)?
Thanks.
PS - you’re probably not going to like that particular clutch you selected.
Jason
I bought the heads built already.Remember Inzane that I have half the vlaves that you have. Don’t know machine costs. I chose the clutch cause it will hold my power. What would you suggest that I would like more. I have driven an unsprung 6 puck before so I know what it is like.
Me too. In a Z32, it’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
Really? You built a Z31 VG30DE, right? It only has 2 valves per cylinder? (I didn’t realize that, or perhaps you showed us a while back and I should pay more attention to your pics and info earlier in this thread)
I just wanted to compare because I think of set of 24 1mm oversize valves for me will cost about ~$400 USD, and the machine work to accommodate them might be that much again. I haven’t decided definitively if I really NEED them in my application though. Our heads already flow quite a lot.

Just checking. I drove a buddy’s 300ZXTT that has that ACT clutch (6puk, unsprung) and I didn’t like it at all. There are companies out there such as RPS that make 6-puk clutches with sprung hubs. But I also realize that not every model of car has exactly the same brand or model of clutches available to it. Some car circles really like Centerforce clutches for example. But for Z32s, Centerforce and ACT clutches generally suck.
I am using a vg30et. SOHC motor. It is the stock engine for my car. You can get the 1mm oversized valves for my car for about 220 us.
As for the clutches not as many people have options for the z31. I used a street clutch from act last year and really liked it. I am hoping the 6 puck will be nice. The centerforce clutches for the z31’s suck they actually have been know to sheer off the spline because of crappy riveting on the ones for this car. We’ll see soon I guess. I am hoping to get an hks 6 peed from japan this winter and make something like a twin plate os giken work with it next winter. We’ll see.
So your heads only have 12 valves in total?

Two very expensive items right there. Your bang-for-buck budget strategy will take a bit of a hit on those.

Yes 12 valves total, it’s a VG30ET, not DET, all of the VG30E(T) engines are SOHC, 2-valves/cylinder. What bang for buck strategy?? What did I go cheap on?? I have all nice parts in my opinion. I mean I looked for good prices but I didn’t cheap out anywhere.
