Also, why is he running a SSQ BOV on that 1.8t? If he is running the stock MAF setup then it’s going to cause the car to run like shit. DV only on these things.

NEVER BUY A PRE MODDED 1.8t ask MotocrossX23 or dougfresh…

I WOULD RUN LIKE HELL from this car. why was the bottom rebuilt? and not the top? it will take alot of money to make that car right.

… i recommend staying away, far away.

<33 lol

I think we’ve pretty much covered all bases here

well it seems like i dont know a pile0shit when i see one.i will refrain from posting these!

my baad

nothing on a volkswagen is an “easy fix”

theyve gotten so shitty as of late. my friend has a few year old gli that burns more oil than my 92 accord does. srsly.

ya i thought the idle could of just been a timing fix

i would think carbon on the throttle body personally

There is a fix, quite simple. I learned this about a month after buying mine. 1.) Build time machine from parts you have somehow collected from your VW. 2.) Light said VW on fire. 3.) Go back in time and the VW never exsisted.

^ That’s the easy fix.

Srsly though, I think it has to do with the SSQ BOV. Atmospheric blow-off valves as of such are not good with these motors because the MAF reads too lean, causing a rough idle.

I agree it could be the BOV, but he would have a maf code p0x7x and be easy dignosible, timing off is another good thought if its been like that from the time of the rebuild…
MY bet is Bent valves. there hard to pick out from looking at them
:

Red dots are bent valves. (bad cylinders)
