02 TA Dyno runs

I had my car dyno tuned this weekend in reading at Rapid Motorsports. Thought some of you might enjoy watching. No huge HP numbers but respectable for what I have done.

ended up with 345HP/355TQ. Uncorrected :wink:

RAPID SUCKS ASs AT TUNING AND HE ALSO FUCKED A CAR UP (toplessTA car)he over reved the car and bent 3 pushrods and tried to say it was the needle bearings in the rocker arms. It took me 2 hours to remove the bent pushrod out of the head. I look at brians tune and carls tune and neither one of the cars had the torgue management removed and the spark tables were barely touched. Now that setup carls car had went 12.01 with rapids tune and when I removed it from carls car we put it in brians with a Fastchips mail order tune the car went 11.43. Same heads same cam one was a mail order tune and the other was a dyno tune hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmRAPID SUCKSsorry but u had to be there when I was removing the pushrod to understand why I feel the way I do about him. o yeah he also fucked them on injecters because he said they needed bigger ones. When I started learning how to tune cars I checked there injecters and they were nowhere near maxing out.

I’ve read nothing but crappy stuff about them 2… but I’ve NEVER delt with them personally and probably never will.

well whoever is incharge at fastchips now is not doing good tunes anymore when Ed Wright was incharge he was the shit.

he made car car slower after sebnding $1000.00 on his tune & dyno time!
he bent one of carls push rods & denide it! wasnt a good trip,carl went twice with no good resalts+ want sammy said!

streetnstrip - I have figured out anyone who doesnt use the same exhaust as you or is tuned by you just SUCKS in your eyes.

but ive have seen first hand what has happend to that car and they customer service that where given when it happened…

he is honeslty not trying to be a dick or could care less about if you get a tune from him or parts from them…

they really do want what is best for the members of pittspeed cars… when it comes to f-bodys i dont trust anyone else about knowledge of those cars…

I have done my research before picking a tuner and worked with Mikey on my tune. This is the only place I have heard stories like this about his work. Everytime I post something up I dont need someone telling me that this is better or I should have done this.
I know that there is alot of good ls1 info on this board but Im not going to say the best info is here.
Im just trying to say that there is a bandwagon and if your not on it then everything you do sucks.
Im not the kind of person to kiss anyones ass so feel free to think what you will.

So Im not allowed to give my opinion or talk about the bad experience pewter and topless had with this guy? When ur on a public board ur going to get opiniions from people like me if u dont like it well ignore me. If u like u can come to me and Ill show u 2 of the tunes he did for both of those guys. Ill show u a TSP, Speed inc, Thunder, and a Fastchips tune and u will see his tunes werent changed that much. Hell pewter car didnt even have the torgue management raised higher. Im sorry but I would let Stropes speed shop touch my stuff before I let rapid touch it.

Sure you are, but do you have to post it in 3" letters and be an obnoxious ass about it. Brian posted his experience but didnt feel the need to make it BOLD, Capital and 3" tall. He just stated that he hopes I got a better tune than he did. Which I must of. Of course I dont have the mods you guys have, but plan on building slowly and hope to use JJs for some of my future mods. If there was a dyno tuning shop in the area that you guys ran I would have probably gone that route.
Oh well, I just wanted to share my vids and now this thread can be deleted or closed. I have no time for this shit.

Im sorry if u got upset with what I posted but u gotta understand when it takes u over an hour to fix a screw up someone else did it leaves a bitter taste. Im going to get the pushrod and take a pic of it to show u so u can understand alittle bit better why I feel the way I do. Im sorry but I dont like rapid if u wanted a dyno tune I would have rather seen u go to those guys in Ohio I think its GMRspeed. Dont get all bent out of shape when I give my opinion Im not doing it to through business our way Im doing it because I want u to get ur moneys worth. I see too many people spending money for stuuf they dont need. If u would come to me and ask any question about what place to buy a cam or cam kit I would tell u Thinder, Speed Inc, or TSP. There are too many speed shops out there now thats just wants ur money. Anyone who knows me knows I just letting putting the stuff together thats it when it comes to buying the stuff Thunder, Speedinc, and TSP are the only places I buy from. Not only are those guys good they have the best custmers service, and they will do whatever it takes to help u out when ur in a pinch.

Its cool and all the shops you would recommend I have dealt with already. I do my homework the best I can and read alot on LS1 forums before purchasing parts. I questioned the hell out of Mikey and made sure he knew what I was looking to do. I have already contacted Brian about a linelock install and will probably call him when I do a 12 bolt. I havent been around here that long and most of my parts were purchased before I even knew about JJs.
When it comes time for H/C combos I would ask for your input as I have seen that you know your shit just from lurking around here. In fact Brian recommended you for tuning but I wanted to get it on a dyno to correct shift point problems.
I just felt like you while you were trashing Rapid in my thread it reflected that my tune was shit. I would have to think it is a pretty healthy tune with the numbers produced. I will post the dyno sheet with A/F readings tomorrow.
