FWIW DGMotors (new shop and LI) and CBRD both using ECUFlash is a big problem IMO. EvoScan does NOT work for the X so they have NO ACCURATE WAY TO LOG THE CAR. Do you want someone guessing on your 30+ thousand dollar Evo and hoping the car isn’t knocking? The guy at DG literally sticks a knock sensor in the motor and puts on a pair of headphones. That’s his way to ‘log’ the car. Um, no thanks. EcuTek costs more for a reason. It has real time logging and map tracing. Other option is buing a Cobb AP and getting it ProTuned (also has live logging but the bitrate is slower than EcuTek). Once EvoScan comes out and is tested/revised/finalized ECUFlash will again be the #1 way to tune an Evo, but right now I’d rather spend a little more on an EcuTek license and know EXACTLY what’s going on with my car. .02 from someone who’s tuned quite a few Evo;s
Evoscan was just released to be compatible with the x i believe.(theres a thread somehwere on evom) Im sure some bugs need to be worked out but i think that should be available soon. and CBRD/DG use pmscan which logs everything except knock. the guy at DG told me they use they ecu’s timing to determine knock (something like 1 degree of timing pulled for every 3 counts of knock). i know its not perfect but CBRD and DG both assured me it was not a problem.
im hoping that in the next month or two before i get tuned that evoscan will be perfected and i can get tuned using ecuflash. I have only heard great things about CBRD nd they have assured me i would have zero issues. Ivey is definitely another option im considering though if a better logger isnt released soon.
let me know how the tune goes
:clap
Spill the beans, hoe!

Nice man! I saw ya at Hess a few nights ago. Car looks great!
thanks
I got my IX tuned for meth by Chad, and can guarantee that you will not get a bad tune from him. His DD was a white X that is tuned, when I was down there last summer. If your going to just do bolt-ons, then you should seriously consider a McTune from Justin. His tunes are awesome, and safe.
EVOs are nice but did you consider getting an STI?
:rofl
Nice gains man! How was the X to tune? Oh, and I want a ride… hmm, wait maybe I shouldn’t. It might encourage me to go get one.
holy stock AFR’s falling OFF the chart… what is it at WOT, mid 9:1’s?
nice pick up from a catback, intake and a tune. must go pretty well now
the wideband on the dyno wouldn’t go below 9.9:1 - and it was hammerin down below that…not sure wtf Mitsu was thinking on that call. Goes like stink now for being basically stock
Mike - Sean did most of the tuning today - I mostly learned - EcuTek is an amazing tuning tool and really allows the tuner to do his job beyond anything I’ve had experience with.

nice times man. how hot out what is it when you ran? twelves possible next time out?
+1 for celtic leading the way in capital region evo x modding. Hope to soon be joining him in the 300+ whp club.
This is from Skierdood’s time slip:

Barometric pressure: 29.44
Temperature: 69.8* F
Humidity: 74%
He was running that night too, I imagine the value’s on Justin’s time slips wouldn’t be too different if at all.
See n!cole’s post for temp’s. Twelve’s are definitely possible. I ran @ full weight w/ a full tank of gas. I’d guess if I were on a 1/4 tank I could have easily picked up 1-2 mph which would have put me around 12.8~ish. Overall I’m very happy considering I’ve done absolutely minimum mods to the car and the X’s run about 13.7-13.8 in stock form.
1/4 mi times updated. Gravel > Tarmac on the X’s for 1/4 mi passes. Fact.
Had it all
Fuck that.
Do want.
