09 civic Si headlight retrofit

nice to see someone actually take the time to install hids right around here.

Say no to illegal HID abuse.

Looks good so far, I was the first ever 04+ Grand Prix to do a retro, ended up basically rewiring my entire lighting system, with relay setups as well.

Good choice on the shrouds those will look awesome. How are you testing your projectors?

how much did the projectors run ya? just out of curiosity…and how big are they? diameter wise…

seems like a fun little project…wanna make me some? hahahaha :lol

will those fit in my em1?

im thinkin about pickin these up and modding them into a set of lights…

I have not fired them up yet, but I will be using a relay harness when I mount them for aiming. Which reminds me, I still need to find a place to do my aiming. I need 25’ of level ground with a flat wall.

I think I payed $175 shipped for the entire TSX headlights, then I resold them after I robbed them of the projectors for $50 so $125 for the pair. I’m not sure what the spec are on them but they are Acura TSX clear lens projectors.

No but if you buy the parts I could maybe build you a set of your own.

My driveway is perfect.

if you are going to do a retro you should go with a OE xenon projector like the OP not a halogen

the projector i posted was out of a benz…so im pretty sure they were xenon…

but i found diff projectors intead…so yeaaaa…lol

LMK if you wanna build me a set…thats cool w/ me…haha

I would also need access to an oven, an outlet, and someone to help me drink some beers!

those use H7 bulbs, H7 are halogen.

Check this site out, they have all you need.

So here it is! after nine hours they are finally finished. I still have to adjust my height but that a simple adjustment. I would also like to thank my father for all of his help today. Thanks for looking!

Nice cutoff and that looks awesome dude

Thanks! I didn’t need to make any rotational adjustments while aiming. I guess I drilled the mounting holes pretty accurately.

wow nice dude looks great

I was right on with my Driver’s side…my passenger side is just slightly slanted but nothing bad, I aimed it a little lower to make up for it so I don’t blind anyone

Looks like its supose to be there, Great work man

A couple real pics this time, no cell phone crap!

wow dude that really looks good…how much to do mine???

Thanks man! I wouldn’t mind helping you out, but I don’t want to be responsible if I screw someone elses lights. If you do want to try this yourself, do your research, and take your time. Let me know if you have any question, I’ll be more than happy to help.
