intake, headers, exhaust and a rear end gear swap will cost no more then a grand…the gear swap is what will do the most N/A for the money next to a torque converter which yields bigger results…we have members running low 13’s with a simple head/cam setup…
say all you want about roasting these import domestics…but this guy would make you look silly and he most likely has alot less money into this car, then you have into yours…
INTENSE 8.0:1 Race block
INTENSE Stage 4 heads
INTENSE Stage 4 Turbo cam
Twin Gt35r ballbearing turbos
Liquid to air IC
ATI TH400 race trans with transbrake and all the goodies
ATI custom convertor
3.5 chrome moly DS
The rear end is a Ford 9" with
Strange N case and Pro gears 35 spline axles
Brakes are Aerospace lightweight race brakes with 4 piston calipers all the way around
QA1 drag race coil overs with 12 way adjustments all around
the car is clearly purpose built for drag racing, but it is damn fast
I don’t get why some of you argue. There is always going to be someone faster than you. Thats the nature of the hobby/sport. Build things how you want, unless you’re racing the guy at a track who gives a fuck if you can beat him or not?
And the two arguing about their past and what not, could you bring it to PMs? I see a lot of crap like this is threads on here that have nothing to do with the original post. If you want to argue, fine, do it outside of the thread tho.
first thing is 100% true, there will always be someone faster. 2nd thing, its my thread ill argue in here if i want too lol…This stuff is from back in the day on APG forums, before your time im guessing ;D plus its over and done with! everyone happy now? ha
thanks again for more info on the v6 setup. He wont put anymore money into his car, it will stay how it sits…Good to know he does have somewhat? potential i guess. What sucks is he paid 13k for the car, he could have had a Z28 or even an SS? for a little more…
The Intense Race Block has stock crank and rods just to verify. They have forged pistons instead of cast and all ARP hardware. Nobody makes a forged crank or rods for this engine and as long as you upgrade the stock pistons the sky is the limit for how much power it will hold. There are Series II 3800s in the 8s FWD and 7s RWD with stock block, crank, rods, and ported factory iron heads. In theory, there is a 9.0:1 3.8L race block behind my house
When your block is a giant piece of cast iron then who needs aftermarket blocks… Supra, Grand National, and the 6.0 LSX truck blocks are all cast iron and hold close to or more than 1,000hp
3800 series II engines can be fast cars, it all depends on how much money you want to throw at it, just like any other car. But there is no way that headers exhaust and intake is going to get that 3800 moving, my grand prix is slow as shit, granted it weighs more but still
