I didn’t wrip anyone off. I simply threw a number out there and someone gave me what I was asking for it.
i wasn’t bashing your price. i was shedding light on the fact that cossey doesnt know shit when it comes to these cars and should keep his mouth shut about it.
Crx fan boi checking in :ninja
Huge deal behind the price is because they haven’t made another one, or made a proper “better” replacement for it. So yes, as many consider, the peak for a Light, FWD platform with a ton of potential was a 88-91 Crx, and it’s unfortunate that it was the last year those were made.
Old Camaros, Corvettes and Mustangs, ALL had newer and “better” generations replace them improving on nearly all aspects, that’s why they depreciate, because with a little more money you can buy a newer better one.
However, for you to buy a better Crx, the only way you can, is to find one in better condition with less miles, that makes it “better”. So instead of a 2001 mustang price compare to a 1988 mustang price, you get a comparison price of a MINT 1990 Crx, VS 200,000 miles 1990 Crx.
The only thing that gives old American models value, is Novelty in a form of a special edition or a very limited production run. Other than those factors, people will always chose a newer better model.
I wasn’t saying you were. Sorry.
As much I like the CRX, it would be pretty hard for me to shell out $4,000 on a car that old regardless of what is done to it or not.
