No one in the United States can trespass on private property, citizen or not. If he had detained these criminals and then proceed to torture them, then yeah they would have a case but that is not what happened. He caught them while they were commiting a crime and then detained them until the proper authorities could come take them away. Fyi
One of the 16 illegal immigrants allowed to bring the lawsuit is a convicted felon deported from the U.S. after a 1993 arrest on federal drug charges, court records show. Gerardo Gonzalez, 38, was convicted in September 1993 of possession of a controlled substance for sale and ordered deported to his home country.
So this gentleman did the United States a favor by not allowing a convicted felon to hit the streets.
what would happen if he shot them and they ended up being legal citizens? if he didnt actually see them crossing the border (which you still dont know if they are legal/illegal) he would be completely fucked
either way you cant hurt someone legally, just because they are illegal doesnt mean u can do illegal things to them :mamoru:
correction, we have no rights here. illegal alien breaks into your home, cuts himself on the broken glass, and trips on your lamp cord, you are responsible for his medical bills. no green card, no rights.
How is his property not private? Last time I checked an individual can not own public lands. Just because people use his land as a highway, does not mean it actually is.
