White gives it a brighter look, which really helps the place pop. I agree that in some places, leaving it a more natural color would look nice too though.

looks awesome dude, they dont make em like they used to. i grew up in a house that was built in 1906, big old victorian. really cool, but my dad was ALWAYS working on it. i hope your ready for the joys of 100 year old home ownership haha. good luck!!
