1972 Browning 17ft 125hp tri hull boat w/ trailer:400$

I just dont have the time at this point that is needed for this boat and with my parents breathing down my neck to get it out of the driveway before i go back to school Im forced to put this up forsale

Asking 400$ OBO

I did get a good deal on this boat but i do have some time invested in this just traveling wise…with that being said feel free to text me offers for this FIRST COME FIRST SERVE

1972 Browning 17’, with 125HP Evinrude Starflite Outboard Motor and Double Axle Trailer. Tri-Hull style, but side hulls don’t quite sink as low as a normal tri-hull would. Lots recently repaired and replaced last year, very dependable boat.

New:
-Hand Bilge Pump
-Ropes for all 4 corners
-Danforth Anchor (Brand Name, not generic), Chain, and Anchor line
-Diehard Marine Battery
-Flares (Good Until Nov. 2011)
-Spark Plugs
-Battery Cables (6 Gauge Marine Cable – Coast Guard Approved)
-Johnson 400GPH Bilge, Hose, and Thru Hull
-Master Battery Switch
-Pole Light
-Fuel Lines and Primer Bulb
-Speedometer Pitot and Line
-Lower Unit Gear Lube JUST changed
-Trailer Lights
-Battery Box
-Couple trailer rollers replaced
-Front trailer winch reconditioned, and strap replaced.

Bad:
-Front Seats need to be Replaced
-Trailer could use a little attention
-Dash isn’t in best shape (RPM Gauge broken, peeling fake-wood that previous owner installed, all around beat.)
-Front grab bar on Port side of Front of boat was pulled off. Haven’t tried to re-install it because it never bothered me much.

-***Boat DOES NOT shift in to gear.

I have clear registration for everything, I posted this before and I didn’t have the title for the boat, I now have a CLEAR title for both the boat and the trailer. Boat doesn’t shift into gear, haven’t looked into it whatsoever. I’ve have a bunch of offers to separate the motor and sell for $500, but I don’t want to separate.

bump make offers

bump

Any idea why it wont shift into gear? Do you think it’s linkage or a problem with the lower unit?

Im not sure but i do believe it engages into gear with an electrical actuator and I think its either fried of shorted or something

But right now it is stuck in forward which my boat friends have told me is the default when a problem with that actuator so that you can drive back to shore

It most likely is an easy fix I havent really dug into it at all and neither did the previous owner but all of my boat buddies have told me that it really should not take much

Only reason why im getting rid of it is because Im still in college and my parents are bugging me about it sitting in the driveway

best offer takes it

$175?

throw me a pm if your serious

bump…

i would take trades on this as well…make an offer on cash or trade

is there anyway to shift it by hand with out the electrical portion?

still got this

it is stuck in forward which is the default when the actuator goes

Those engines don’t shift with an electrical actuator. It’s mechanical.

Could be any number of things, linkage, controls, the mechanism on the top end of the motor, etc…

PMed

1sik bmw was texting me about it but stopped responding…ill give everyone the deal i was giving him…300 gets this thing gone…come get it

you told me 350 lol
