Wow, the Renault crowd might be as flaky as the rest of the car world…so much interest, but nothing has come through (outside of a couple unreasonable offers)…listed it on eBay one more time…might just end up keeping them…
I am all over the place with work. I saw a place, somewhere, maybe way out on 104, it looks like every Renault ever made somehow ended up in this guys possession. He had about 20 of the better looking ones, a few convertibles, regular ones, etc etc. If I remember where I saw them I’ll let you know.
And people are flakes. I had some fool from New Zealand who was stationed on an oil rig in the Persian Gulf call and ask me if each primary cover bolt on my Bonneville was original. One by one. All 10 of them. With a Crocodile Dundee accent on an active rig via satellite phone with a nice delay. Lovely. Dreamers and time wasters come in all varieties I have found. But, I have also found Ebay to be the best venue to move stuff. I have also found stating with no reserve will result in a sale and a higher end price too. I think it’s a psychological thing, even if someone will pay $4k, they don’t want to just bid $4k out of the gate. Me, if I’m going to pay $X for something, I don’t want to waste my time bidding up to $X incrementally, but other people LOVE to thinking they are going to steal something. To each their own. Re-list them with no reserve/starting price. Remember, you have a lot of friends who can help your auction along :-D:-D:-D:-D:-D.
