1997 BMW Zed Tre

i dont know how your clutch line is setup, but if stock bmw shit is used get rid of the clutch delay valve. i can see that being a pita w/ this setup.

Car’s in the garage. Swing by. I’ve been busy being baller in a BMW :stick:

Almost positive the CDV is gone, but I’ll check anyways.

Thanks, Tod  I swear I don’t go looking for it. I was looking at C5 Vettes, then S2000’s for a little while, and then I saw this thing for sale and thought

I’ve been busy building real powAH!!!

Come spring, it’s on!

(Winter bench racing FTW!)

Sort of a shitty angle with a shittier camera phone, but one of the half-moon’s on the back side of the valve cover gasket is all chewed up somehow. Ordered a new one through Pittsburgh East Nissan.

Refreshing the SR20?

Please tell me you’re shoerhorning an LS1 in there.

about time you get it ready for the talan swap

I see a lsx in your future.

been waiting to see you finally do it, if you need any help feel free to ask me. Our cars share the same platform.

Nah, I had something else laying around so I figured I’d chuck it in this thing -

(Shaky pic because I have the hand steadiness of a crackhead and didn’t realize my anti-shake feature wasn’t on)

Is that a monster clutch I see?

Talk about fitting 15lbs of shit into a 5lbs bag.

Wow, the Hyundai guy calling a LSX “15lbs of shit.” Riiiiiiiiiight.

That will be absolutely awesome. I’ve seen some LSX E36s and they came out really nice, I believe the Z3 engine bay is largely the same as a E36. Hell, if you could make it work in a Miata this should be cake. G’luck!

TJ, I meant nothing rude in regards to his post, just looks like it will be a tight fit, so crawl out of my ass now, mmkay.

But it’s so roomy in here… somebody (or a lot of somebodies) really opened this thing up, a lot of “expansion” done indeed.

Anyway, yet another great project Jesse. Keep us posted!

The Z3 has the same front sub frame as an e36, this swap has been done quite a few times so there isnt really a question of if it can be done.

when in doubt…

…LSX it.
