1997 Integra Type R...819 miles...

Wow is right!

+1 its so lame that every one keeps going on and on about this integra, its a great car the price is what it is and thats that. No matter how much this goes on its not gonna CHANGE a damn thing

:lol

Good point.

your fuckin stupid

300 1953 corvettes were made
320 1997 ITR’s were made

there is no doubt more demand for the corvette, but the supply is roughly the same. and then to consider how many miles are on this car and its condition. you can probly count on one hand how many ITR’s there are in this condition on the planet. so no doubt demand isnt as high on the ITR but the supply for an ITR like this is so small it will drive up the value. of course its not worth 28k to you but surely you must understand that for someone that wants a mint condition 1997 ITR like this they will have to pay quite a lot.

I like Corvettes. I can appreciate any automobile, even Mustangs sometimes. If you are a true car fan or car person you should be able to do the same. Is the Integra Type R the best and most fastest car ever built? No. I view it as more of a special interest car as I have stated before. Comparing a '53 Corvette to a '97 Integra is ridiculous in itself. If I had a choice of the two obviously I would take the '53.

If you are looking to purchase a Corvette for the sole purpose of an investment to make a return profit on later you are faced with an enormous task of figuring out which special edition to go with; Ron Fellows, 50th Anniversary, 427 Edition Z06, 1990 ZR1, 2009+ ZR1, GT1 Championship Edition, Competition Sport Edition, 1996 Grand Sport, and I am sure there are lots more I am forgetting. This is the only comparable aspect of an ITR to a Corvette; Honda only made one special edition (the ITR), so the decision to purchase one for potential profit later is easier. You could buy a Ron Fellows Z06 and have it be worth $25K in 20 years and lose you ass, the same fate could happen with the Integra but the odds are in its favor.

Finding another low mileage 97/98 ITR that is stock, never molested, and low mileage (even under 50K miles) is not an easy task. There are hundreds of wanna-be replicas, repainted, raced, terribly modded, ones out there. Stating its not a collector car is false, people collect all kinds of forms of transportation, bicycles, boats, scooters, etc. A person that collects american muscle cars is more common so its more accepted, you never hear of a Japanese car collector so its easy to say otherwise.

Again, not trying to be a dick, just trying to say everyone has different tastes in vehicles and what they view as collectable or not.

again

How many ITR’s in that style were made overall?

What years are that style 96-2000?

The USA only got ITR’s in 1997, 1998, 2000, and 2001. Only available in Championship White in 1997 and 1998. Only available in Flamenco Black Pearl and Phoenix Yellow in 2000 and 2001.

There is no good answer to how many USDM Integra Type-R’s there might be. Honda has issued very little information about this and the info we do have seems to be incorrect or lacking supplementary information. We can all speculate as to the numbers for each year. We will round up and give you a best guess at the maximum number of each year there is likely to be.
1997 - 750
1998 - 1100
2000 - 1600
2001 - 1600
These numbers are based on badge numbers viewed by us here. If you have a badge number on a United States Type-R that exceeds these numbers please email us so we can modify our numbers.

shadys arguments are dumpy as fuck

1997 is the only year that looks like that SHADY. FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU

So what makes the year 97 so desireable as the following years look almost identical? Other than maybe some subtle differences.

IMO it is somewhat rare as only what ~5000 were brought to the US…

But their are many other cars that have way less than that overall brought to the US and fetch no where near that…

IDK i’ve never understood how such a cheap econobox can fetch such a high dollar now adays I guess thats just how it is…

Look pretty similar to me LSKII FUUUUUUU

shady=pjb

Kramer = majority nutswinging fag

:tongue

you cant just throw numbers out there, to show me a site that has the finishes from a race and it just so happened to be an integra type r at the top has absolutely no correlation between being the best handling fwd car ever, thats just silly

:ahh:rofl:hug

97 first year of the ITR
97 only 317 examples brought in
97 only came in Championship White
97 has different front and rearend
97 has no rear wiper
A/C was optional
Interior was a bit different (no faux cf, different shift knob, etc.)

For the most part you are right it’s the same. but, the subtle differences, the fact that it was the A version of that generation, and this car was considered more raw than the others makes it pretty desireable. i personally love that front end, but like the 98+ rearend better.

You had to be on a year or two long waiting list to purchase the 97 and 98’s. where-as you could almost walk into the dealer and pick up a 00 or 01. often times it was hard to get those as well.

however, at this time without winning the lottery i wouldnt buy this car for $28k. id try and pick up a very clean example of a '97 that has 110k miles going for $10.5k instead.

The Acura dealer in Burlington VT I remember had one on the lot, a guy that lives close by down here ended up buying it and I was told he drove it to Mass. one day and someone liked it better than he did  But you are right, even brand new buyers were paying sticker price or more for one.

Mk4 30r hates hondas yet he can still acknowledge its a RARE car, its a COLLECTOR’S car. Good for the Cobalt SS, see what its worth in 13 years LMAAAAOOOOOOO

Do you think Jay Leno likes 2 door economy commuter cars?? Nah, probably not. Do you think he doesnt see this as a collector car? He probably has one or is working on getting one but they are just too rare to come by :frowning:

i’ll take a black ITR, thanks.
