=(
folks, we have a rapper in our midst
All these minority girlfriends are rubbing off on me.
plural?!?! Noooiiiicccceee
Damn man… I feel for ya.
no outstanding progress or anything, but i got the garage cleaned up and used a come a long/every muscle in my body to get the car in the garage. im gunna try and get the head off tomorrow. gots me a 4 day weekend.
very very limited space to work with!
Two nice cars in there I see.
My dads got two of the same gtos, one m6 one a4, ha.
Nice that is awesome.
i took off work today so i woke up at like 2pm and decided to finally quit sulking. got everything ready to pull off the crank pulley and front cover. actually kinda lots of room in there with everything off.
and i did some theraputic cyber monday shopping, i needed corner lights anyways.
ive been looking into some the last few weeks. i really wanna do a wire tuck. but i think id leave the fuse panel and such. just do the engine harness and batter in the trunk and etc. check this one out. this car makes me wanna redo the TB inlet pipe too.
holy freakin crap. pulled the head tonight, doesnt look like the valves are bent! i cant see any signs of contact, and all the keepers are seated and everything. best freakin case scenario. although the head is kinda fubar’d cause the tensioner was all over the place on it. i asked a few different people about it, they all said definitely contact was made. im rocking stock cams, i think theyre .400 lift, and -13cc pistons, i guess thats enough for ptv clearance. stock pistons are either -6 or -3cc. super freakin duper excited.
head damage, notice how the one hole is egg shaped. gunna take the head to my machine shop tomorrow to get it fixed.

I’ll 100% do your wire tuck this summer. and so much for that lincoln thing
just poured alcohol down the intake runners, no leaks! no bent valves!

have it brah! he sold the lincoln?
probably not, but now you aren’t going to give up on this.
Helicoil ftw! Did they have measurements of the hole locations or are you hoping there is enough slop in the holes so it all lines up correctly?
Great news!
i gave em a replacement tensioner to make sure everything was where it’s supposed to be. drained the oil into a paint can filter to make sure there wasnt a whole buncha crap in it. it was pretty clean! not very much poop on my magnetic drain plug either. i thought there would be with what happened, im sure its already embedded into my bearings, ha. weather is supposed to BLOW the next few days so ill try and drive it enough to put some solid miles on it and seat them rings. drove the car about 15 miles tonight, no ticks, solid oil pressure, and still very happy with the cal. working my way up to some higher rpm/load pulls. get some vids up asap, this freakin tial blow off valve on a centri sounds ridiculous!
fastest blown-engine-to-driving-again time ever!
got about 150 miles on the rebuild so far. did some wot pulls tonight and im pegging the crap out of my maf with the cold weather so havnt gotten over 5.5k. the maf is thinking im flowing somewhere around 54#/min… which just confirms my trap speed and weight calc of ~475whp. and it dyno’d at like 380 on baldturbofreaks dyno! ha. id say that dyno reads a lil low…
its just too dangerous doing these kinda pulls on the street. i have zero traction below 70 with 30* ambient temps, i havnt had an alignment yet with the new k member and suspension and there are deer everywhere. ill drive it around town til probly next weekend and head straight into the 4" maf housing and small pulley next spring. i gotta build 8.8 lined up from my buddy in michigan for a ridiculous price, just gotta go get it. that should fix the traction thing when i grab some 275s.
i was thinking nt05s, ill still be on a stock 17" tho. any body use em this past season? i wanna have a tire i can drive around on daily, and at the track short time well enough to get me a 10sec slip.
