Dont know where to put this cuz of the pissing match in OT-but its sad, 19 year old Mark K. Reukauf II, from lancaster collided with a school bus in Elma and passed away at the scene. Now on the news theyre reporting that his car hit head on, and from the looks of the damage to the bus i’d agree, but a customer of our bar who lives right where the accident happened swears up and down the car (which is reported to be a small car neon or honda of some sort) rear ended the bus-not sure, but our customer said he couldnt even seen the occupant of the car it was so crushed. I hope he wasnt text messaging. Sad, my condolences to the family and friends of Mark Reukauf.

Ugh, jeez. ALso hear that a trooper was following bout 200 yards behind and saw the whole thing happen, his car just slowly veered left into the bus which JUST dropped off its last occupant. This sucks to hear. You know that person he was texting will always feel guilt.
If that turns out to be the case the kid lost any pity from me. I do feel bad for his family though. Hopefully by the time my kid is driving they have phones that recognize you are in a car and can only dial 911 without the car being in park.
I used to live on Bowen rd when I was in high school. The one morning I went out to wait for the bus, it didn’t show up. I later found out that at the same time the lights in my place flickered, a car hit an electrical poll on the swerves by the entrance to Como Park. I don’t think that kid made it.
I don’t think he was texting. On the news the troopers made it very clear they had no evidence he was texting and they usually say something like, “we have reason to believe he was texting,” if he was.
I was wondering if he was looking in his rear view mirror and freaking out because a state trooper was following him.
