added your talking new models… You got me there i’ll admit that. But used hondas in such, was mostly what i was talking about.
If your looking for power for cheap na. You got with a honda…

yeah, tony’s motor in a 4th gen hatch would go like 12’s
who dude, beating competition? correct me if im wrong here but ahh…
Prelude H Duce Duce
Power 200 hp
Cobalt SS
Power 205 hp
well guess your right that supercharger gives it that extra 5…
Also, lets just add this… You can buy the bottom of the barrel honda. K, then buy the top of the line motor and swap it. EZ. Tell me you can do it with domestics as ez as you can do with hondas… Dont think so.
Heres a quick example.
93 Hatch Blue Book
about 3,000 to 3,500 (this is mint condition)
K20A2 Swap Everything 8,000 Mounts, motor, tranny(Thats no labor but if your swappin you should be doing it yourself)
^thats a little hight ive seen em for like 6,500 but w/e
Your done and running about high 12’s low 13’s. With nothing. Just motor, stock. Yes your not getting nice seats or sporty interior. Your getting a fast “Dependable!” car. Same as all these new ones coming out with half the price. Sure its not new, but who cares? You want to go fast right?
quoting hp levels like that are gay, remember when the 00 eclipse came out with “5” less hp than the 2nd gens…they were still 2s slower stock in the 1/4
thats just a quick ref. if it gets into it ill go get specs.
so go get your specs
I would rather have a power adder from factory if I was going to mod a car. it’s cool that people brag about being N/A and running good times, but in the end, who really gives a fuck how you make the power as long as you can run a good time
yup
… I’m not knocking Honda for their motors because they do produce very impressive four bangers without a doubt. However, I can see the benefits of have forced induction from the factory, especially with forged internals like the SS.
not so much forged internals as the compression ratio of the motor itself 10:1 forged internals is harder to tune/make power than 7:1 on cast iron
im not bragging im just trying not to blow domestics out of the water. But since you bring it up. You put a Turbo on a stock LS B18 and you can hold 20 psi. “Yes I said 20 psi, your right your pushing it but its been done. Without blowing up, Many times!” And with that your running 12’s. You make a dodge, chevy, ford 4 cyl. do that Then ill stop talking
saying put a turbo on a car and running psi makes you look dumb, power isn’t made off psi it’s made off cfm and the volume of air at that particular psi.
gaurentee (if oyu could spool it) a t-88 at 20 psi on roughly 9.xx:1 compression would park the head of said honda on top of the vehicle behind you. where as a t-25 at 20psi would never happen since it would never flow enough air to sustain 20psi on 9.xx:1 compression
Ive seen it in person so your not gonna change my mind. And me looking dumb, to you isnt nothing im to worried about. From what I hear about you. ANYWAY.
Im gonna end it like this cause I have a feeling this is going to go on forever. And its just gonna start getting bad. I support Domestic 4’s all the way, *shyt i have one. I just dont like seeing that there putting out “Somewhat stock numbers to na imports.” With all this new stuff coming out why do you have to put a power adder on it? You think the companies would be spending more money doing that. Instead of just making a pretty high hp na motor. Yes I know who cares if it got a power adder. To me it does when I see a honda run 9’s thats not fully blown drag car. Or even a mistiu running 8-9s, I see them videos in the muiltmedia section of that one guy. With the totally street mitsu. I dunno thats just my opinion. To add to that A wise man once told me “American cars were made to sell, imports are made to last…”
you’re a goofy fuck ain’t ya
power is power n/a, turbo, n2o, supercharger or whatever else you do to make power. It’s not a cop out for a manufacturer to put forced induction on a car from factory, why do people think this?
wtf are you talking about…you seen what in person? turbos are rated based on cfm not psi saying a car runs 20 psi is like saying you own a ford…a ford WHAT? 20 psi on WHAT? there are 11 thousand turbo options out there with 11 thousand diffeerent cfm capibilities psi means absolutly nothing to a motor it’s not psi that blows your motor up it’s a lean situation based on too much oxygen not too much “psi” seriously dood you wanna start this into “what i heard about you” or do you want to keep this a serious discussion about forced induction on hondas vs domestics? i didn’t say you WERE dumb i said if you go around saying that you LOOK dumb
2005 chevy cobalt
correct should have made another thread before this. got a little off…
i don’t care, i just thought it was funny people were arguing over it.
i took a lookat the bottom end of a cobalt as far as the rods they look like that can take some power its gonna be a nice car way better looking then srt
actually, it was just getting good until you came in and fucked it up.
