dont throw around false information, the 6.0 heads (317 castings) and the heads that everyone uses for boost, especially on 5.3s and ls1’s, 5.3s actually have a high compression ratio. If it were me i would just throw 317s on it, with a magnacharger kit
jw but did you not look at all the links I posted? They use both heads for boost applications, but the 6.0 heads are more popular because they are a lower compression then the 5.3’s but the 5.3’s still arent all that high for boost.
the 5.3 compression is 9.9:1 which isnt all that bad…not enough to do any physical harm with only 10psi.

no i didnt look, but that 3 examples, the majority of people that want to be safe run 317 heads that get your compression down in the 8:X:X and they flow as much as 243 heads, so you cant go wrong with 317s for boosted applications
