what you say guys…lets hit this bbq…
=========================================================
You know what time it is… 2009 - 8th Annual Torontomaxima.com BBQ planning time!
We’ve done this event for so many years now that I don’t know what to write anymore without sounding like a broken record All you OG’s know what to expect! If you have any suggestions to make the event even better, please let me know.
To all the new members: If you have never been to a Torontomaxima BBQ meet – This is one event you don’t want to miss! Once you attend a TMEC BBQ meet, you’ll be back year after year, regardless of what car you drive. The day typically brings out around 50+ vehicles spread out on the open grassy field. Around noon, we have a BBQ and following lunch, the Award and prizes are announced. That’s just the short recap. More insanity actually takes place throughout the day. There’s something for everyone. Come relax and mingle with one of the most laid back car enthusiast community. Treat it like a day at the park and bring your love ones and friends.
All of our previous BBQ’s have been held in late July or early August and around that time works for the majority of our members. I’m not going to wait too long to confirm a date so we can give sponsors an reasonable amount of notice. Event date will be finalized no later than the following week and I will start a new post with finalized details. Price is still TBD. Likely around $20-25. Obviously, the bigger the budget, the more we can do with the event. What price are you comfortable paying? I just want to throw out there a couple of suggestions. Like is there enough interest to do some charity event? Perhaps a Model photo shoot? Games or competition for prizes? Overnight camping? What are your thoughts on some or all of these suggestions?
The event will be held at the our usual spot; Rattlesnake Point in Milton. This location has been ideal and played host to more TMEC BBQ’s than I can remember. It’s always a good time. Rain or shine. I hope to see you all here! Let me know if you have any questions, suggestions or know of sponsors that would benefit from this event.
