2009 Formula 1 Season discussion

Well, without incentive, who’s to say they’ll actually bother. It’s not cheap to run the cars and I’m sure no one wants to risk a million dollar chassis, couple hundo thousand engine/trans etc etc…for nothing.

I know all about driver input in car development.

you watch the sport. its a marketing thing. I could rattle off every F1 driver, ask your friends if they know who jenson button, felipe massa, or lewis hamilton are.

Something like that really would get other people involved in watching and keeping up on the news at any rate I’m not going to argue about it.

I’m really trying to find out more of what redbull has done.

Argue? I had no idea you were even worked up about this. You are all over the place though…your posts don’t make a ton of sense.

Anyway, I don’t see a runoff really bringing in any new fans. F1 is F1 whether they’re racing wheel to wheel or not. The NASCAR types aren’t going to like it no matter how you scramble around the cars. I was thinking the runoff idea would be great for current fans, but I don’t see it bringing in anyone new.

I think that I am officially a Red Bull fan. I like the young aggressive Vettel

LOL I’m not arguing at all. I figured just ending the conversation prior to frustration. Its not really a run off its more or less to show the development from race 1 to the end of the season.

Being an F1 fan is all about frustration. Especially in the Max/Bernie era. You should be used to it by now. All the stupid rules and inconsistent stewards rulings…etc etc

At least Max is out. Hopefully someone better replaces him.

frustrating isnt the word for it. I’m glad BMW sauber felt they were actually going to do something pre season start.

Yea… 8 constructor points… At least both guys made it into Q2 this week :picard:

Yay F1 is reunited, and no more max mosely. Hopefully they can get their heads out of their asses and schedule a race or two in the US.

German Grand Prix is a great race, lots of action and great driving

Freakin, CRAZY.

I posted a thread with the video/pictures/info in Genauto because no one comes into the motorsports forum. Shit is crazy though, the pic of his face/helmet is gross

well, he’s doing a little better…

You think he will race again?

Yes, he will race again, but not this season and maybe not in Formula 1.

can’t believe that shit happened. What are the fucking chances?

They showed to slow-motion before the hungary race and I couldn’t even believe it.

ahem

Schumacher is taking Massa’s spot for the rest of the series. Should be interesting!

And BMW announces they are leaving.

I heard possibility of Toyota and Renault leaving as well?

Renault and Toyota have had grumblings of pulling out since '05, but it does not appear as though they will before 2012. Granted a buyout led by Flavio is always a possibility at Renault. Look for ProDrive/Aston vs Audi/Porsche (Chassis/Engine) if cost reduction continues.

hello? Do you know where your Schumacher is?

I actually agree with the teams not letting him test… kinda scaring me a little since I normally want them to break all the rules for the greatest team ever with the greatest driver ever.
