That’s the problem with this car and all Infiniti’s. Not sure why the hell Nissan didn’t tune these cars like they tune/setup the Nissans…but my Maxima at 75mph was 2500rpm. The M? 3100. Gearing on this thing sucks. But…on the other hand…when I punch it…this thing wastes no time getting to 100.
I understand a grand or two. It’s not like my car needs work to be able to sell again. Just detail it, wax it, and put it on the showroom floor. 1-2k should be plenty for them to make money.
Probably not. But maybe.
The only way I’d trade for ANYTHING (Nissan, BMW, VW) is if my current loan gets paid off.
All this time I was ahead of the ‘bank curve’ only to find out that the dealer values my car MUCH MUCH MUCH less than the bank.
Same mileage I get now :lol. But my car is probably a bit more luxurious, no? My dad is currently reconditioning his 92’ K1500. He loves that thing. Newer motor…now getting ALL of the body and small issues fixed. This thing will be almost brand new this summer.
plus having a 1 year/10k maintenance interval. and having the the first 3 services paid for means you have atleast a whole year of care free driving getting over 600 miles to a tank (14.5 gallon tank)
don’t forget too, diesel’s don’t lose there value as fast as gas cars do. so your high mileage car actually keeps it’s value better with the higher mileage you do
Okay…well check this thread out and let me know if you can get me at least $20,000 for my car on trade. If you can, we can talk. If not…then maybe we can make up the difference by taking the price down on the car that will replace it.
honestly we might be closer then you think. if i can get around 19k for your car. i might be closer to making up the rest with a discount. plus you get the 0% apr for upto 72 months
new passat’s are doable if you ok with an order, and the discount with be much less as TDI’s right now are not around. plus the passat tdi’s are standard rate (5%ish)
Well I can wait…I probably wouldn’t be getting brand new either (I realize this would cut away some of the possible incentives but I will let someone else take the depreciation hit).
I think the body style I would be interested in is the 09+ (11 was a facelift year, yeah?). Something in the $15k with like 40kmi area.
EDIT: New one is only '11+. So…2011+ TDI SE is what I’d be interested in.
Well…I’ll stop in Monday so you guys can look at my car and see what you are willing to pay for it.
I’ll do some research in the mean time on the quality of VW’s etc. (few friends have said yay…a few others have said nay due to electrical issues which plague most german cars it seems).
as of right now, are electronics are made by the same people who make the ones in your M… so by your friends logic your M’s electronics should suck…lol
the electrical issue is something VW had back in the late 90’s and early 00’ not so much with the current model’s. do some research tho and i’ll answer as much as i can for you.
