I just hate that they’re all the same. Every modded honda is more or less the same formula and I hate that. There’s so rarely custom work done to them. They’re usually just piles of purchased parts.
It also seems like so many honda kids are REALLY into hondas. I don’t like people who are really INTO one type of car. I’ve never been a subaru guy, a nissan guy, a bmw guy, i’m just a car guy.
Couple that with the lameness of FWD and hence: my feeling.
I wouldn’t put smith’s s2k in that group, tho.
I think he is saying that he can’t sit in one and feel like the entirely original snowflake he thinks he is.

there are some cool ones however.
As far as the repeated theme of cars, everyone from every type of car does that. So i don’t really see how you could put that all on honda owners
to a degree, i feel like soooo many hondas are rolling boxes of the same parts.

Hondas became very mass produced a lot easier to follow what has worked and what is already made. But on that point i really dont see a way to make power like i do now any other way. B series big turbo and slicks is about the only way to go fast for a reasonable price.
i got a eg just did b swap. but i think this summer i might do a 4g63 swap in it to just do something newish i know its been done before but i think it might be a fun project.
I’ve got a Honda. Built everything myself so I like it that much more. Not saying that I’m in love with Honda’s and that is all I’ll own but I love mine because i built it. I’ve got a few custom fab ideas for it, but i just need time and materials to do them. We’ll see I guess.
im swapping a b18b into an eg coupe for no reason other than both the swap and the car were super cheap. dealing with people to get parts has been a PITA, honda guys really suck for the most part. the best parts buying experiences i had was def when i owned my e30.
just finished putting the motor in last night, hoping to have it running this weekend
Misterioso will continue to run the same unsleeved block because it hasn’t broken. Revving it over 9000 RPM and mid 20’s for boost last year was supposed to break it according to what everyone told him, but it didn’t happen. I do expect it to break at some point this year and then he can go bigger.

before I got my camaro to start that project I was strongly considering a evo drivetrain swap into my turbo SHO. Now THAT would have been different. Most things honda don’t usually gather my interest. Any “cool” honda video is usually a honda _______ doing a burnout through 4 gears then pulling from 120+
needless to say the SHO community did not take kindly to the thought of swapping a 4cyl into that car and the cost to complete as well as skill and space required is beyond me at this point. Would have been neat to drive though, and probably would get stellar mpg too.
