Well… we made national news… Wasatch Mountains… above 8k’ 12"-18" starting tonight through Friday.
I forgot that “we” to you means SLC. I was kinda pumped about snow in NY for a minute. haha
Lucky bastard!!! lol And as for the boots. Go try on a pair at the shop, then go on the interweb and purchase the size you know you need through a shop that way. I’m sure it will be cheaper. Then take a hair dryer… place the end inside the boot or close enough to it so you don burn it out… remove and place foot in. heat molded. Thats pretty much all they do.
The shop I’m going to get my boots from most likely is one of the places I’d order from anyways; plus with any of those 3 I’m looking at, the prices online are still MSRP or damn close. I can probably get a cash price with going to the shop here locally.
EDIT - Also picked up a Thule Atlantis 1200 XT roof box last night for $360 brand new in the box (Cheapest I could find anywhere was $485, and lists at $539). Should work perfect to transport the boarding gear for myself and any visitors, as well as just general crap for road-trips.
Snowing now!!!
Jealous.
got my Sunday pass for HV yesterday and my board rack is on the car!!
waiting . . .
…still no snow here
My brother just outside of Jamestown said it snowed for an hour or so the other day

Top off-load of Park City Resort;
GEOFF!! Hit me up, I’ll be down every single Sunday night.
Figured I’d share a video. Killington, VT last year one of the first runs of the day. Pretty much straight lining a diamond to double diamond. Sorry for the bouncy image. I was holding an HD video camera in my right hand while riding. lol
Got my pass a couple days ago, Rack is on the car, ready to go. Just need to buy some new bindings for my park board and a new jacket.
Bought a new coat, gloves, pants, and picked up the new Burton Lashed 32 boots. Can’t wait!
Cool video but west of the Mississippi that would be a green circle.
I’m up for the challenge, I just have to get money together. Now dont get me wrong, I would have been more straight down hill but with a backpack bouncing around and having my HD video camera (not gopro) lol It throws you off balance. I plan to ride less with the backpack.
Thanks for checking out the vid though.
The riding was great it’s just that a I didn’t see any super steepness, cliffs, moguls the size of Volkswagens or giant boulders to kill you.
If I didn’t see the sign in the video, I wouldn’t even believe that it was a double diamond. There are WAY WAY WAY more difficult hills at Killington.
Good vid though.
Yea, I would agree, that’s the typical “cruise around” out here, green circle with some mild areas of blue-square. A black-diamond out here is close to vertical with the only way down is jumping off crap and cutting as fast as possible. Double-Blacks out here are almost all back-country which is actually easier to ride in some circumstances due to the powder where if you land just a little off you just land in fluff.
That trail I’d cruise about 30-40 mph on a typical day out here at Park City Resort; top of the Park City to the Lodge is about 3.5 miles, takes me about 5-6 minutes, and that’s just a casual/moderate ride.
Honestly… reason it doesnt look so steep is due to having a Fisheye lens on the camera. It makes things look like you arent moving so fast, and because I’m pointing the camera down the hill with me and the trees on the outside looking bent different than normal from the fisheye. But regardless, I want to go to CO or UT so damn bad!
Edit: I did the same run at the end of the day when my brother and his friends said, “last one down is buying a round” My ass went down that as fast as I possibly could. Scared the shit out of me though because the sun was going down so the shadding wasnt the greatest and being the weekend, it was very ice by the last run. I beat them down by like 3 minutes as they took a different run.
Riding close to dark is a bit sketchy when hauling ass due to not being able to see bumps or drops very well.
