I made it out Sunday for about 5 hours before my thighs said enough and started cramping up pretty bad about 1/2 way through the runs. New boots are awesome compared to the old ones, was great to be able to just think about turning and being able to turn instead of having to throw my whole lower body into it.
Conditions at this resort were on the good side for what they had open, it would’ve been a top 10 day at HV. (Firm base, not hardly anything for ice/hard-pack, and a steady 1" per hour of snow falling; with plenty of areas of fresh 10"+ powder scattered around)
yeah, thanks for the text on this when you were on the lift…ASSHOLE! lol If you couldnt have rubbed the fact you were boarding already in my face by placing it on here, you had to hit me up with a text message showing it. lol
Happy to see someone is able to ride. I’m in much need of riding. Here is the setups I have right now. Might sell the Atomic to get a shorter board for park riding and get more into it.

It was awesome getting out again, was the first time since January that I got out. Probably won’t get out again until mid December, but conditions by that point should be a lot better.
And for anyone heading west to ski/board… make sure you’ve got a fresh coat of wax! Skis/boards don’t work well in good snow without it!

picked up a pair of Line Prophet 90’s and some Dabello VooDoo boots… went skiing for the first time ever after about 10 years of snowboarding…well, I figured I could just go to the top of the mountain and teach myself… well it’s harder than I thought… I started connecting my turns pretty well and about my 8th run down, I ate shit HARD and messed up my leg pretty good. :-/ damnit skis.
I’m in the video with the HV one but because of taking photos. Haha. I love being able to stand inbetween rails and take photos. Hopefully we get some nicer skys this year for photos.
Just won a new set of Oakley goggles now. I apparently get to go to The Boardroom in E-ville to customize my own pair of Oakely goggles based off the selection they have in the Oakley bar.
just an fyi for those that will be driving down to the valley often, the price for regular gas in springville was $3.37 or $3.32 cash on Sunday. Support the springville businesses, I’m sure they are hurting some since the expressway was extended.
Yeah, the 219 extension just seems to be a great way right now at least to screw springville out of money. Once its done or goes further, that will be understandable. But this really shafts them over.
We all saw that coming. Just really sad when some locals wanted this to happen. You would think they would like the community the way it was now, and realizing some businesses might close due to this now.
anyone go to hv today? im going tomorrow, supposedly they have 6 runs open. KB looks to have way more snow but they’re waiting to see what the temps do or some shit since it is supposed to be 51* lol.
