Cant wait, getting closer. Feb 5th and 6th Killington, VT. Feb 26 - Mar 4th Brighton and Snowbird, UT
Hit Heavenly yesterday, it was bluebird and about 40 degrees. No new snow but you gotta love skiing in Cali warm sun.
Going to Sierra today, Squaw tomorrow and Kirkwood Sunday.
I’m going up this weekend hopefully; haven’t been out since mid Dec. Damn life getting in the way.
Gambling and drinking until 4am, didn’t make it to Squaw Valley today. Lol. tomorrow…
Heading to HV tonight anyone wanna tag along for a half price lift ticket? Pm me.
It’s going to be cold as balls, lol. Text me details on departure time and who is going.
So I finally got to Squaw on Sunday and skied with my cousin Allen Riley. He is super nice and humble but, boy was that humbling watching someone ski ANY terrain flawlessly.lol He also gave us some invaluable tips on skiing the expert terrain.
He was patient enough to take us on a tour of the entire resort pointing out everything from the Shane McConkey tribute eagle statue on the peak to the best places to Apres. It was neat to talk to and see people who I have only seen in ski movies, like Rachel Burks and Aaron McGovern.
Coming back to WNY was disappointing because we did not see even ONE cloud the entire time in Cali and Nevada and it was 30 degrees warmer and they had well over 250" of snow already. Sitting on the beach patio of the Hyatt Resort in Tahoe, drinking Napa wine, getting sun burned after an epic day of skiing spoils a guy.

Going to Holimont for a vendor sponsored ski day on Friday. Haven’t been on boards for probably 10 years. This should be fun.
I’m heading to Killington with my wife Sunday through Thursday next week. This is going to be my first time hitting up a VT mountain so i’m wicked excited for the trip. Anyone have any recommendations for trails or must do’s out there?
I haven’t been to Killington in about 20 years so I can’t really help there but here is a picture of Tahoe fun … (edit: Yes, those are people on the lake. SUP (Stand Up Paddle))
More pics I want to go to Tahoe so badly. I heard its just a giant party at night.
Definitely take the Gondola up and take The Great Northern and I believe its also the Great Eastern. I believe the Eastern goes all the way down to the very bottom (10 minute haul trying to move around as quick as you can) Those are both runs like Mardi Gras, but take you 5x longer. I’d really just say anything out there is a blast compared to here in Buffalo. I’m going Feb 5th and 6th
Nice thanks for the info I can’t wait. I’ve been looking over the trail map for Killington and it just confuses the hell out of me how i’m going to get around LOL. We are staying at the Killington Grand right at the base of mountain so it should be a blast, I plan on taking tons of pics and have the GoPro’s ready to go
Here is a pic from the gondi at Heavenly… You don’t get that in Vermont.
Headed to Colorado on Thursday. I can hardly contain myself.
Headed to Stratton in 2 weekends. Hoping the weather cooperates
who does the best job waxing and sharpening in the northtowns?
I think my daughter is hooked:
This is after about 4 trips.
I’d take it to 245 Board Company up in that part if you don’t do it yourself. Maybe Redhook, but I’m not sure who’s doing their tuneups now (it was Tom, but I’m not sure if he’s still working there)
I tune my own stuff; $40 for the Dakine kit, and it works great. I’ve never gotten the edges sharpened “professionally” yet, and I got my board in '09. Took it to “THE” snowboard shop out here in UT, and they said I didn’t need anything more than a wax, the board base and edges were in good shape and sharp.
I was considering 245 but it’s a bit of a hike.
Was thinking phatman but feel they may do a hack job
Yup… definitely booking a little trip back to Reno next December
