You taught her at a great age man, she’s definitely going to be out-skiing you at age 10.
Let the kid try the slalom course that was set up on Edelweiss:
This was my first time on skis in over 10 years and I caught 200’ of air using my snowboard winch!
Ha Nice!
holy shit, how much line do you have on that?
1600 feet but only had enough room to pull out 1100
Anyone else getting out much this year? That says day 10 but there were several trips this year that I didn’t run the tracker.
Now THAT looked fun! I want a winch
I am at HV every Sunday. Conditions sucked last week being pretty damn icy.
I’m leaving next Wednesday for 2 days of riding and a brewery tour at Jay Peak
I come back that Friday, wait a week, then I leave for Utah the following Friday.
3 days of riding at Powder Mountain and maybe going to Snowbasin… I’m trying to talk my guys into Snowbird for a day.
It’s going to be that way most Sundays because it gets skied off. You should try and get out during the week.
M-F work from 8-5 in Clarence. Sucks! But yeah, Sunday morning was apparently really sticky because of the 3-4 inches they got of wet snow on top of the rain and melted snow, which froze back over Sunday morning. So Sunday night was just rock solid.
It made for a nightmare teaching.
Anyone going tonight?
I won’t be going till Wed or Thu depending on how bad the roads are Wed.
It is puking right now at KB for anyone interested.
I went last night and did ski blade for the first time. wasnt too much ice but hit a few patches. Ski blades were fun but I def miss snow boarding

im sure with all the snow they are getting slammed with tonight and tomorrow would be a good time
Probably won’t make it till Monday now since we’re getting the snowmobiles out tomorrow and my Saturday is shot.
Wanting to cry after seeing the weather report for Powder Mountain. Above 35 degrees for a week straight coming up with rain. I leave 2 weeks from Friday.
Had one of the best days of my life snowboarding at Jay Peak on Friday. Thursday was great, but they got the 10-18" of snow Friday. The trees were amazing!!! First time I’ve been there and first time with this much snow on a nice resort
These couple photos were Wednesday night before the storm.
Orion’s belt with the head, arm, legs.
Skied Whiteface Monday and had a great time. Winds were a little crazy. The summit lift was shut down right after we took it because the top of the mountain was too dangerous and then about an hour later they shut down the gondola because the wind was too high.
From the top of the Summit chair:
Arriving we couldn’t see the top:
Stats from the day:
Boarded SnowBasin yesterday; and holy fuck am I sore today. Biting it in Powder does hurt less; but once you do it 10-12 times it sure beats you up… you know you’re biting it right when you’re sliding down the hill on your back head-first and not slowing down… then going oh fuck and slamming your board into the snow to try and stop/slow-down.
On another note… a day like that is a HORRIBLE day to find out the waterproofing had completely wore off your pants!
