I hit the hill opening day and about the 5th run down this happened, this is why u don’t sit down on the hill in a dark unlit area, I’m pretty sure my board drilled her in the back, I did everything I could to stop!

i love when people wait after the bottom of a kicker and think its ok. I scoot out the way asap if i fall from a kicker or jump.
I went on monday and the conditions were great. 0 line at the 2 lifts.They had a ton of cool kickers everywhere and 2 sick spines at the bottom of northwind that were perfect for easy 360s. The little rail park had a couple more intermediate features for being so early into the season so it was dope
Skier responsibility code says it is your fault. Who snowboards anymore anyway?

That and people who seem to only want to sit in the middle of the hill all night.

The plan was to leave work at 3 and go straight to HV for a bit tonight. Going to have to watch how this storm develops though because my car doesn’t have much ground clearance.
I’m more worried about the 20-30 mph winds with 40mph gusts and how shitty that may make skiing with a 6 year old.
If they aren’t tough, it will be horrible. Winds like that definitely take the fun away.

Almost got my trip planned. Wasn’t going to have one this year but looks like my brother is trying to make one happen.
Feb 12-14 it looks like we are getting a condo to ski in and out at Jay Peak, VT
Fuck it, leaving work in 5 to pick up the kid and head to HV. 
I’ve got 3" of ground clearance and they’re only calling for 1-3" of snow this evening. It’ll be fine!
At home (EA) the snow is piling up to at least 16", I was surprised Springville doesn’t have nearly as much.

Was not expecting to have any trips at all for snowboarding. In two weeks, I’ve now booked 2 trips.

Feb 22nd-27th 4-5 days of riding (Powder Mountain and Snowbasin)

I just booked a flight for next week to Denver, not sure where I am skiing yet, winging it. 
Looks like I will be adding another ski resort to my list of places I have been. Has anyone been to Steamboat? What’s good?

I need a reasonably priced set-up I think…wax and make sure the edges are sharp and whatnot…
suggestions? any of you dudes do that sort of thing on the side? My buddy needs his done too…
Some fun runs with the kid last night at Holiday. She’s gone from stopping a bunch of times to control her speed to skiing the entire way down and keeping up with the old man. I have a feeling I should have got back into skiing before teaching her because she’s learning faster than I am and I’d afraid she’s going to be out skiing me in just a couple years (she’ll be 7 in March).
