This is a nice, safe way to explore your car’s performance and hang out with other car people.

I plan on participating a lot this year

You’ve got the car for it . . .

Let’s just say I’ve been very generous toward it this winter…

Where’s Delphi?

Been gone for a while. Plan on participating this year

By generous I hope you mean you’ve been doing basic maintenance, because if you modify it then you’re no longer in stock, which is where Minis dominate.

Pretty sure I’ll be in SM…I’m not really concerned with how I well I do compared to people in my class, I really just want to have fun and learn the limits of the car.

SM is one of the best classes to be in!

Those guys are all a ton of fun and super laid back. You’ll have a blast.

Are these events very novice friendly? I have a stock c5 and my driving abilities outside of a straight line are nonexistent, but I’d really like to give this a try.

Those damn Mini’s dominate H stock, I can’t beat any of them in my 2.

So it’s a few minuets from RIT. Have you ever run there? What’s it like?

Only two times in WNY?

Cool, I’m looking forward to it!

We have a novice class for every event.

We have an entire day devoted to novice driver training.

FYI we are currently working on a deal with a major Corvette participant - the hope is that Corvette drivers gain free entry.

      • Updated - - -

Its small and technical but if the course designer is good, its a lot of fun.

FYI Nationals was won in a Mazda 2 and I had one as a rental - what a fun little car. Like a FWD Miata.

Two confirmed, one tentative pending Bill’s schedule, and we’re working on another site in WNY.

Since we’re based out of Rochester, we don’t mind an hour drive to Buffalo or Syracuse, particularly for such good sites.

I’ll be there this year, at least once or twice

What times and days are they again?
Sunday mornings?

No, looks like that is the FLR schedule. WNY unofficial schedule is on facebook:

Dates are listed - I believe they’re all Sundays. Since I run a tight ship I plan to have the first car off by 10:15 every day. Smart to arrive around 8-8:30 to prepare the car and get through tech.

Events at Fairgrounds and Ralph Wilson are subject to the dictatorial whims of their crew. WNY tends to be a little more laid back. I don’t know how CNY operates but we’ll find out.
