i know but your talking to someone new to the ls1 world, all i have done is reading research and reading forums and just trying to gather as much information as possible and your talking to me like i should be a certified gm mechanic lol. There might be a chance i am wrong about something, but its no reason to make someone feel like a retard about it. on a side not i would think there is a small diference between 305hp and 345 hp?

The LS1 was very under rated from the factory to begin with. The C5 just has a 345 hp rating because, why would they rate a F-body the same, that cost 15-20k less?? Its all about sales…in that post you made, it even said the LS1 in the f-body and the C5 are the same…but why would one have 40hp Less? Sales. C5 was gm’s highest sports car.They couldnt have a 2nd entry level pony car popping in with the same hp rating for thousands less…then no one would buy the C5.

but once they started hitting the dyno’s, LS1 f-bodys stock were putting down the same power as c5’s if not more…and that doesnt include the 335-345hp SLP package camaro’s and firehawks.
