24 Hours of Le Mans Z51 Commemorative Edition package

Awesome man.

i am looking into tires, since the stock Bfs are just about goan, was wondering any suggestions that don’t break the bank? Spent aton of money on parts, and only wanna spend between 640 and 800 for all 4 tires, any suggestions? and if anyone know the largest tire i can put on my stock rims, 18x9.5 and 17X9 i am not sure i think i saw people running 295s on the 18x9.5 like 260s on the front anyone know?

I have a set of good used tires that came off a C6 245-40-17 and 285-35-18 I think. They are still 3/4 tread and in good shape. The dealership I work at took the vette in on trade and wanted fresh rubber on it. I can get pics and more info if your interested. Not looking for much money for them either.

brandon you cant spend a ton of money on go fast parts then not get good tires to put the power to the ground lol
what size headers did you end up going with? i just picked up a set of 1 3/4 qtp long tubes off a cool dude on here

who is tuning this ??? staying with jennings ? if so tell him the kid with the maroon camaro said hey . is my burnout still up there about a 1/8 mile long or so lolol

I wouldnt go past a 285 series tire on a 9.5" rim.

I can’t talk from personal experience, but I know people that had over 570rwhp using these tires and they had nothing but good things to say about them for the money…

Yes i am gonna stay with jim and i went with the 1 3/4 American Racing no cats, and its not that i don’t wanna spend aton of money on tires, i just don’t have the extra money for the best tire.

dropped off the car to jim on sunday, hoping to see it back by April 8 th. Told him to take his time seeing as the weather is so blahh right now. Just ordered a set of Nitto NT 555 Extreme performance 285/35-18 245/45-17 for $624 shipped i know they are not the best but they have got some good reviews, and if they really are that bad i will just use them for the summer, and by next spring i will have the ability to spend more money on much better tires.

anyone know the max tire size i can put on the stock rims 18x9.5 rear and 17x8.5 front with out traction control problems?

as long as they are within an inch of each other (tire height, front to back) then i dont think you will have a prob with your traction control or abs

yeah i have been trying to find out what other people have done or a site with a tire caculator to figure it out, been making me mad all day.

well in terms of actual size im sure you mean width. your height will be roughly the same prob. these tires are just for the street correct? i run a nitto 555r 315/35/17 on my stock 17x9 rim if that helps. i dont really know what options you have with an 18in wheel. im not too familiar with your wheels and what other vette guys run

they did not have the tires in the size i origionally wanted which is good cause i don’t think they would of worked with my traction control, i might just buy stock size and have to deal with 400+rwhp and see if 275s on the back will be good enough.

I generally don’t have problems with the 265’s on my Camaro, they have an 11" section width which seems to be OK… then again, I have 2.73’s in the rear.

I would use a 275-295 range for that wheel.

with anything that has 400+rwhp, I highly suggest bigger then a 275 tire, or else your going to be going through tires rather quick…

PLEASE READ @ 315’s

Z06 Corvette Replicas:

17"x9.5" +50 to +56 mm no problems. 275/40R17.

18"x9.5" +50 to +56 mm 275/35R18 or 285/35R18.

so if i read that right i can put the 285/35/18 rear and 245/40/17 front and be good to go with my traction control abs?

I am not sure where you are getting that tire size affect traction control and abs? I have had 275’s, 285’s, 305’s and 315’s and not a single one ever affected abs or tcs.

im suprised at that , esp wit gm a.b.s being as touchy as it is . although tthe vettes are way touchier
