Just avoid SiR’s, honestly, there is nothing special about them. You can literally make your own, by grabbing either an Si or a DX for cheaper and upgrade parts if you must.
I’ve seen too many people get SiR’s just because of the “R” and had it stolen for the exact same reason.
If you’re worried about winter driving… True, the open Diff. is a pain. You need a limited slip for sure and some winter tires. I personally love rear wheel drive in the winter…and in the summer. I just don’t understand the idea of a front-wheel-drive-sports-car. Oxymoron.
thanks a lot for the info guys I appreciate it… I just got a job, so I’ll be able to pay for my insurance, however I got something thinking to do, thanks a lot!

My S14 is my first car and I had no problems. Got through winter without any accidents or anything (worst thing was getting stuck in a snowbank). Mine is a 95 and I haven’t had any mechanical problems as of yet. It’s just a matter of how you treat the car (and how it was treated before you), as well as common things that just get worn/break over time.
does anyone know how to restore the frame??? for cheap ?? i have rust and prety much can stick my whole hand through the frame i was wondering how much would that cost??
^ you should pm draggone about that, he does frame work, and theres pics of his previous work. I know that some members on here went to him to fix there frame and his works looks awesome
s13’s are great i had it as my first car loved it, second car was a s14 interior although very similar the s14 1 is more updated and looks better. looks stock s14 does look better just needs to be lowered a little, but the s13 has its own uniqueness (hatches are cooler) i only owned my s13 for about 6months so i didnt really do anything in the looks department it was just lowered. i spent my money under the hood. s14 is easier to find in good condition rust wise. overal both cars are similar great first cars easy to work on. if u want to get a car and have some money to spend on it go with the s13. because i dont think ull find a s14 worth buying under 4000. i baught myn for 5000 stock just lowered it was worth every penny, very well taken care of by last owner.
