i’ve never seen a more detailed sr20 swap in a mag. 240 owners who are lookin to do a sr20 swap get the new mag " project car ". the don’t leave a single bolt out. they even go over suspension and cluster. i really recommend it. ppl check it out and let me know wut u guys think of the mag.
where’d you get the mag?? I have heard people talk about it but haven’t seen it anywhere!
i think i saw it a super store
hey nismokutz,is it the one with the purpleish gray 240? on the cover?
It’s super street’s new kick at a mag…looks good though.
They do a 240 a Civic and a talon was it?
yep sure do,the civic is pretty nice for a civic, but i have new outlooks on them since i took my aunties for a bag heheheh
ive had it for over a month now its an awesome mag :E
Yeah that magazine is awesome, i hope they do a corolla next issue.
you can find it at pretty much any convince store. great mag. lookin forward to new issues
Great article on the SR swap, everything you need to know, and even a little more.
does anyone find it unusal that they paid 3000 just for a motor, uninstalled?
i paid like 2400 for my engine not including intercooler
3k USD??? Fucking ouch. They had better have gotten a front clip for that much.
I’m probably mistaken but I think I rememeber Super Street doing a swap and the price for them for the SR was something like that too…?
EDIT:
price for the conversion, including the engine, is around $5,000. So, if you go out and buy a $4,000 used 1991 240SX and take it to V-Spec, you’ve got a $9,000 Silvia
Magazines usually say a higher price so it makes people feel better when the call to get a swap done and they get it cheaper than a magazine. But in reality they get everything for free for just saying a buisness name usually.
But i read the article, its pretty good, not alot of trouble shooting if something goes wrong tho
how much horsepower would the mechanical fan drain from the engine if not upgraded to a single or a pair of electric? it was mentioned in the article
