Keep the piggy.

Looks like a nice hatch.

Looks like a good project. Mind if I ask how much you payed? I never really understood why people do sil40 conversions to be honest… especially now that you can get the real deal. I just figure if you are going to go through the troubles of getting the rad support welded in that you might as well go for an s14 or s15 conversion. But hey, if you like the looks than you should do it up.
You’re gonna need a hood, lights, the support, fenders and bumper. Not really sure though who could hook you up with the parts.

i duno just thinking of something to do to it
something to set it apart from the rest :E
its in very good cond tho
only a few minor rust spots
no bigger than 5cm

my car looked just like yours when i first bought it. and to be honest with you, i wish it still was and i just did minor body mods. the s13 front end coneversion is a joke. Once you get the hang of it you can do it in an hour and a half. But remember this, if you get a s13 front end, your that much farther from a engine swap

Get the Silvia front end and sell me your lip.

You’re talking about Silvia front end. S13 is a chassis code, which means every 240SX, 180SX, 200SX, and Silvia of this body style are called S13.

ya but if you say silvia front end you could be refering to any of the silvia’s s13,s14,s14.5 and the s15. when someone says a s13 front end and the person has pop ups, 99.99999% of people know your talking about the s13 silvia front end. And yes i do know its a chassis code.

but back on topic, the s13 SILVIA front end is played out. there is a reason why some of the guys who had it before switched back to pop ups. If i were you i would get some oem side skirts and call it a day. i am sure you have seen this car before but none the less awsome:

pignose fastbacks look awsome slammed, esspecially when its a darker colored car

yeah that car would be awesome with a nice set of rims

lol i almost bought that 180 :stuck_out_tongue:
but its in calgary so i didnt wanna make the trip
and i thought it’d be better to buy a cheeper car and have some money for parts than buy a more expensive one and be flat broke

Even though I have a sil80, when I see pop ups i drool a bit… you can get really really nice front bumper and stick with the pop ups if you want to lose the pig nose.

oooo sleepy eyes. who showed you how to do that?

lol thx for the tip travis
saved me big money
i’ll still take those tails off your hands
and the fenders if you still got em :rofl

The reason people originally started making sil80’s was purely because the silvia front ends are cheaper to replace or fix when drift damage is sustained. Nissan caught on to this and made a sil80 from factory with better suspension and the silvia front end. It’s purely up to the individuals opinion as to whether it looks better

Are you sure they made sil80’s from factory. Word on the street is they were a hybrid made by a large dealership chain in Japan. Like the yenko chevelle’s…

factory sil80? what the… thats news to me

yah you sure you got your info right brice?
i’ve never heard of a factory sil80 eather
oh well i’ve decided to keep the pop-ups
they’ve grown on me :E

positive

You are right, they were made by a Japanese customs shop “Kids Heart” but were sold through Nissan Dealerships.

I think there were about 500 made, don’t quote me on that.

Genuine ones have “sileighty” on the rear garnish to distinguish them and have a market value of approx the same as a BNR32.

Have seen a genuine one myself.

Touge racers made them initially, yes, but Nissan caught on and made a bit of easy profit off them. Check this out:
