My car used to start right away now it dosnt it takes a very long tome to start and i have to press the gas pedal to get it to run but when it runs it runs good
It has new plugs
new rotor and new cap
new fuel filter
an injector can leak at any time…it just happens, its an engine it slowly breaks down and rubber gaskets(O rings in this case) get old. A leaky injector will cause ur car to be hard on starting. The gas will slowly leak out of the fuel rail and the line if there is lack of pressure.(goes back into the tank). so in turn, when ur starting ur car and u press the gas its pushing the gas through the line faster making it start quicker. Ur car will start when its warm with ease because the injector hasnt had enough time to leak…
“rubber gaskets(O rings in this case) get old”
dont O rings just seal the injector to the manyfold , and wouldnt a bad O ring just cause a vacume leak?
“when ur starting ur car and u press the gas its pushing the gas through the line faster” dosnt pressing the gas just allow the car to get more air so it can get the correct mixture? I dont think it speeds up the pump.
Dosnt the O2 sensor only work after it reaches its operating temprature?
