I dont think they are saying make it mandatory. And that could happen to anyone at any time. If you are that feeble and unaware of your surroundings, dont carry, then you wont be a target. Again, boils down to respobsibility from the armed person.
I can think back to highschool and pick out the teachers that shouldnt have a weapon of protection and I can think of many that SHOULD. One of the hall monitors was an awesome guy. He was an ex CO at a bad prision, has seen alot of shit, and knows how to take a mother fucker down. Dude allways kept his back to a wall, it was imprented into the back of his head.
If anything broke out, he would be the first person, cocked and ready to defend his students. I would 100% trust that man with my life.
