Pretty slick.
“Reason for the swap is that the Solstice Aisin AR5 transmission bolts right up to the 2JZ via a 1jz bellhousing. It’s basically an updated Aisin r154 they shoved into supra’s. Also, the motor mounts up to the LNF motor mount’s, which was really weird, and it sit’s in just the right place.”
How cool is that? I’m guessing this will be the beginning of a lot of these swaps.
Great motor.
Well that’s cool. Now they can do laps around Manhattan with it, lol.
This is exactly what I thought too…especially since the motor mounts only get moved forward a bit and it sits perfectly in the bay where it would need to. AMAZINGLY similar setups, I couldn’t believe it
That is amazing…I wonder who and how they came across the thought of this swap.
Driving my mom’s sky redline is fun, that would be a blast.
I like the sky more than the solstice, but a coupe solstice would be cool as well.
I’ve been following this build on Supraforums for some time now. Pretty legit.
Sweet!!!
live video feed on justin tv of when they are working on it…
like…now.
Pretty dope!
