No, you fail, in your uneducated and baseless comments. The funny thing in all of this, is I prefer the LSx engines over the RB/JZ series too, but it pisses me off when people spout off opinions and preferences as fact.
All other factors being equal, it is very simple to determine what car will win. Look at rpm drop and shift points, let’s say both cars shift at 7k rpm, revs drop to 5500rpm after shift. Compare power under the curve between 5500rpm and 7000rpm, and the one with more will win.
You want torque at HIGH rpm, you want POWER, not torque, torque in itself does you no good other than makes you giddy that you’re being pushed back into your seat.

Maybe I should have been a little bit clearer with my statement.

Me saying torque over horsepower I did not mean 1000ftlbs of torque to 300hp is okay. Even if I did, I do not believe that is possible.

I meant I prefer torque to horsepower. As in I prefer a BBC Camaro’s HOLY SHIT feeling to my RB’s Woweeeee High speeds woop de doo.

You need horsepower just as much as torque. YET torque is more enjoyable.

having driven both now (2j and rb powered cars) i perfer the 2j
however, they were in completely different cars and it mya just be that i prefer my supra over my old gtr.

the 2j just feels better though from a driving standpoint, cant put my finger on it yet
