The thing about this one is that people dont understand the reality of modifiying cars.
I think we should have a bylaw restricting people from modifiying their cars unless the modifications are required for a certain reason. I.e. you like to drift on the street and hit people so you need coilovers and an LSD
people that mod their cars just to get attention piss me off. Its like hey look at me i got breast implants but i never let anyone touch my breatss, there are just there so that people will look at me and want me.
ya honestly. there needs to be some person deciding on what should be allowed and what doesn’t. stupid people who dont drive at the performance level that they built their cars for are just making everyone else look bad. like for fu[/b]ck sakes.
Yeah… Like I’ll ever agree. It’s called Freedom baby and that means if I want to hard park, so be it. If hard parking makes me feel all warm and fuzzy like your uber drift style racing then why should my freedom be restricted.
[sarcasm]
Or better yet we should have people to monitor modified car owners from pulling anything stupid on the street. IE, drifting, hitting parked cars, running from the cops, hitting people, etc…
It’s like people that suck at the internet, we need to have people deciding if you can actually use the internet or not. I’m sick of ignorant online ego’s proclaiming to be authorities on something they’re not in the form of some forum post. Don’t they know anything, that’s not what the internet’s about… It’s about hardcore geeks who like to share source code, encyclopedia references and intelligent conversation. Get with it… Gosh.
lol this post is funny ^___^ nice topic haha in 3 am in the morning wow… neways wat i hate most is those ppl that think they put a huge hippo mouth hoodscoop think it is useful and will make their car go faster … anything bigger then the stock sti scoop is too big imo… hehe
don’t you know the scoops provide crazy downforce at the same time? Think of the shape, it’s ultimate. the bigger the scoop the bigger the downforce. Especially at 60 km/h. SupAr race car.
Ok so does this mean that I sould just get ride of my car?>???
Ya I have been slowley adding performance mods to my car.
Do I go to the track? no, will I one? day sure once and a while. Do I race on the streets? never.
Maybe just maybe there are some people that mod there cars for the purpose of learning and also maybe just the fact that they do have a love for there cars and everything about them.
Its just seems that people are getting a little to uptight about this stuff. " if the car is not tracked leave it stock" I do not understand this mentality… for anyone that has meet me I am pretty sure that they wouild not label me a ricer or hard parker, but its seems that I fall 100% into that with the opinions expressed. I just wanted to learn about something that I love and enjoy doing/talking about.
I know I do not rant near as well as a lot of others on here (haha I just do not do it that often) but I had to express this. what about people like me, where do we fall when it comes to this black and white hobby labeling.
Most of us mod our cars and take the car to track, so we can actually utilize the potential of those mods.
Doesnt make sense to me to have a 200+hp car and not even realize it’s potential.
yea but when i think of the people that i refer to at 3.21am when i am smashed i don’t think about you at all, i think about the ricers who TALK as if they are race car drivers TALK like they are engeineers that toally fabricated their entire cars and TALK like they invented the sport - when really its all a lie, or in some instances a very very very large stretching of the truth.
The kind of people who soley build a car because they dont’ have enough to offer the world as it is, and the only way to get more attention to themselves is through their car. The kind of people who build a car more for what others will think of them than for their own TRUE enjoyment of the car.
And where do you really truely enjoy the car for only yourself? Well no better place than the track. So thats how the two come together as one.
The best person I can think of who built a 240 to truely enjoy it and no more no less would be scott, although jantos ripps him apart he always has fun with it, yet he never brings it to track! Why? Well he doesn’t want to hurt it. But he still does everythign he can to drive it hard, asks people for advice after already reading about the stuff on his own, has a great knowledge base, and doesn’t talk shit and isn’t very cocky. He lets his car present itself and only talks shit in a very abstract way, like your car is wood put it in the forrest hahahaha
I feel I am going off on a tangent but my memory is so shitty that I already forgot what i was arguing towards.
Just ask yourself if there was no one else in this world and you had your car, a pile of parts to your right and a toolbox to your left, would you spend the time to put the stuff in your car? Or would you say nah im too lazy it doesnt matter the car drives, its good enough.
