I RECIEVED MY darkside racing 3 inch turbo back today … took it to the garage to check fitment and all i can say it dam 3 inch is huge! looks like im going to slap them on a big turbo diesal truck!
what sucks is my o2 dump’s 2 inch! outlet into a 3 inch exhaust…
im removing my a/c but then ill still have to find a way to make a bigger o2 housing… flange seems to be the issue!
YEAH 3 INCH IS HUGE I WAS GOING TO RUN THAT UNTIL I WENT TO THE SHOP AND LOOKED AT IT.
I THINK WHEN I GET MY TURBO I AM STILL GOING TO RUN IT, IF I CAN MAKE IT FIT.
all caps?
3 inch is generally the way to go… i’m running 2.5 on the vw’s stock turbo… it’ll keep the pipes hot and the exhaust flowing… generally it’s known that the bigger the exhaust, the better the power… but i tend to believe that if you can’t push out x amount of exhaust (from turbo) there is no need to give the exhaust too big of a pipe…
With a turbo car the bigger the better. You want as little backpressure as possible. You want to maximize the difference of the pressure before and after the turbine.
